Great Value Hot Premium Sausage Roll, 16 oz, Ground, Raw (Refrigerated)

They were out of our usual brand so we tried the Great Value Hot breakfast sauage. It was great, slightly hotter, which was great also. This is definitely our go to from now on. I highly recommend!

Great sausage. No nitrites. Versatile. Customizable. Add fennel for Italian dishes, red pepper flakes as needed, herbs, etc. Makes good sausage burgers. A regular staple in my fridge.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much outta the GV brand sausage, but this surprised me! Decent quality! Tasted good and I didn't taste any weird fillers like you can with some cheaper pork. I mean, I'm sure it's there...you just can't taste it as much 😅💩 Can't beat it...only $3 for a pound of meat. That's a steal these days!

I read some reviews that says this sausage stinks. I honestly think it smells and tastes just like regular breakfast sausage. i don't think you could tell the difference between this and name brand.

Great sausage but I've had 2 or 3 i had to throw out do to spoiled and bad smell but i don't blame the product, I blame the group pulling and or delivering the sausage for handling very poorly. I usually freeze these tubes of sausage then vacuum seal in a plastic covering so when i first start to cut away the sausage package and give it a good long sniff test, if i get the slightest off smell, it goes straight to the trash. I did start to cook one once, soon as it starts defrosting in the pan the rank smell really hits you. Normally when i slice open the sausage package it has zero smell when frozen, so even a hint of off smell, out it goes

I enjoyed a couple of recipes I made with just 1 pound. I added some to an egg bake and also added some to some ground beet to make meatballs to add to a vegetable soup. Both dishes came out very good and the hot sausage had a lot to do with the great flavor of both dishes. I will definitely be adding this more often to my grocery list. I can't wait to try it in a chilli. I'm sure the flavor is going to be amazing.

The taste was alright, but it wasn’t what was expected. The only place hot was found was on the label. I couldn’t detect one iota of heat/spice in this sausage. Until they fix the lack of heat, I can’t recommend this for anyone expecting it to be hot as in spicy. 🌶️

I bought this for b'fast meat but it fell apart coming out of the package so I just mixed it in with my scrambled eggs. The same thing occurred the second time so I decided to use it along with beef for my chili and also spaghetti sauce. I was mildly surprised with the flavor, a nice taste without too much burn.

Sausage is a staple food for us so we gave this a try. For the price it is OK - not great - just OK. Many bits of gristle good only for dog treats, and... Tastes better with some ground fennel seed cooked into it. So - if/when we're running out of sausages this will be OK to have.
