Call it what you want — fake, processed, suspiciously orange — but these cheese slices? They’re my ride or die. Each one is individually wrapped like a tiny edible treasure, waiting patiently in the fridge for its moment to shine. I’ve melted them on toast, wrapped them around sad hot dogs, eaten them cold in the glow of the fridge light at 2 a.m. They don’t judge me. They complete me. They don’t spoil. They don’t complain. They just exist… gloriously, plasticky, and loyal — like a culinary time capsule from childhood lunches and grilled cheese dreams. Would I choose this cheese over emotional stability? Honestly, probably yes.

One day, Walmart was out of my regular brand American cheese slices so I substituted for the great value brand. I can honestly tell you that it tastes better than the other brand I used to get which was Kraft. I have never switched back nor will I ever. It melts better and to me it is great for all of my cooking that requires American cheese. I'm very glad that this particular item beats the competition every time.. I make sandwiches grilled cheese. I put cheese in my scrambled eggs. It just melts beautifully.

These slices are super convenient for quick sandwiches. They melt easily and have that classic flavor you expect. The Ingredients list is definitely an "American cheese product" vibe, but for the price, they get the job done. Worth keeping in the fridge for a fast lunch.

The great value American cheese is just as good as the name brand stuff. It taste great, melts quick, ans tasty. only issue i have is when unrapping the clear wrapping paper from cheese is that it tears too easily and doesnt come off on one try when pulled.

I was very surprised by this cheese! There are certain things I am a stickler about when it comes to make brands. Sliced American cheese was one, for years. Decided to give this a try, and was shocked to discover that I actually PREFER it!! It melts wonderfully in a grilled cheese, as well as over steamed veggies. I'm sold!

Does Walmart own a cheese factory? Probably not. Most likely they contracted this out to one of the major manufacturers. I don't think I could tell the difference between this product and k***t s*****s in a blind test. This is my go-to now, and I'm not sacrificing anything to save.

A decent thickness and had that American singles taste. I did find that unlike some brands they don't freeze well. They tend to become grainy so that they won't peel out of the package in one piece without leaving some behind. Not much so if you need to freeze them so they don't spoil you can do it. Just not the best ones for that purpose.

I love cheeseburgers, so when I bite into it I search for cheese. The product is packged well, singles. But the taste needs to be improved. such as making the slices thicker for that Boom Cheddar taste!. Sorry. just being honest. got granddaughter and she is picky and so am I. I call my grandaughter mouse as she loves cheese.

I bought this great value brand American Cheese product because you no longer sell Bordens brand my favorite and Kraft is much more expensive.. I won’t buy i this again, it has a crumbly texture and if you try to wrap it around a slice of cold cut, it falls to pieces. Not fond of the taste either

I have bought this for years. The new package I got does not melt at all. I have never had this issue. Then, I notice on the package it says “contains bioengineered food products” but that part is not shown in the photos. It was removed from the photo and it is very deceiving. Very disappointed. Will not buy this again.
