I have found this product to be comparable to the more expensive name brands. The quality and texture have remained consistent and very good..... even when used in cooking. I am very pleased with this item and will continue to purchase it in the future.
i've been buying great value white american cheese singles for years %26 they are always delicious. they taste a lot different than yellow american. white cheese singles are delicious added to soups or beans, or on pizzas or sandwiches. this is very versatile.
the Great Value brand White sliced cheese compares to other brands of equal value I would recommend it to anyone who would buy Sargento craft or other slice American type style cheeses not any problems with it used it for a long time. I would like to add though that on this order or could have been another order very close to the same time, I bought some hamburger buns to make cheeseburgers and the Great Value hamburger buns were all jumbled up in the bag, it actually appeared that they had because the double stack was so just configured there was no way on Earth that could have happened through the process of selecting for online purchase. I believe these selectors on online pick up orders need to be more versed in what may or may not be acceptable to a customer in terms of damage product. and also just on a standard quality standpoint I purchase great value 80/20 hamburger patties and this is no joke, totally tasteless and not an exaggeration, as tough and rubbery as ground up rubber. I will never buy another Walmart Frozen hamburger patty we ate about half of them on a cookout the remainder I tossed in the garbage. they were not fit for human consumption I wouldn't even have fed them to my dog with the fear of it would make my dog sick. we tried to eat a bite and we realize there was definitely something going on in the product wasn't right. I was so frustrated and upset about it I tossed the whole thing until my family never again and the interesting thing is the ones we purchased on a prior order was also very similar way too tough and grainy. so anyway there you have some other thoughts to plug into your customer reviews.
Yes, I tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich with these. Yes, it grilled just like the yellow cheese. No, it didn't taste right? My brain couldn't handle it. However, on my Turkey sandwich, it rocked. I even throw a piece on my eggs now and then and it rocks. It's a great cheese, it's a great price. It's great value. I love great value and it would appear.I unwittingly work for them! It has the same great creamy texture. It's great on sandwiches and has that little bit of sweetness.I like in the yellow american cheese or is that orange?
this cheese melts well and has a good texture when it is both cold or hot. this cheese tastes quite good and the overall taste is balanced and mild so I can eat many slices. however, there is too much salt (sodium) in this and most cheese products. I want to find and choose a low-sodium option of this product. I would certainly buy the low sodium option of this and other cheese's.
Ive used this before to make white queso . It is less expensive than deli sliced white american. The other is a tad better , but for the cost it works fine. This time it was different because I got the yellow in my order. i ordered both 1 for white queso and 1 for the kids sandwiches. Its flavor is slightly different from yellow. I'll specify next time and put do not substitute. My bad. My grandaughters approve of the queso with it. 1/2 pack white slices melted slowly with can of green chilis. I make fine in magic bullet and add 1 can evap milk. Melt slowly til smooth.

I think it's good for the money it used to be a dollar 98 I think it went up to $2.98 I think it's just the inflation with everything but I prefer the other Great value swiss cheese that's more natural but you get less so I purchase this product for more.
My wife's family likes this cheese. I don't like eating cheesy processed goo wrapped in plastic, but that's my take on things. I like deli-style cheeses - even the ones made of ‘processed cheese food.' These ‘wrapped in plastic slices' are just what they are: They're not the greatest.
The price was right, but I think I will stick to Kraft white American cheese. I prefer the taste of Kraft over this. I found it to be sticky — it was hard to peel from the plastic wrap. The texture was not as good either. Grilled cheese sandwiches would probably be fine using it but eating it plain, not so much.
