It's an unbeatable value. You get a whole pie for what restaurants charge for a slice if you're lucky. Drizzle with raspberry sauce for a little razzle dazzle. If it were a better dietary choice I would purchase it more often guilt free. It's a good deal to have in the freezer even better to offer as a dessert when hosting dinner.
I know it says Keylime pie. If you've ever had a true Keylime, you can tell that this is a line pie. For the money and a good tart tasting dessert it's great, but don't think you're getting a true Keylime pie head to the keys. buy you a pie and you will notice the difference, however if you'd like to save some money and have a nice slice of lime pie, this is your product.
PROS: Cost, key lime is good enough to eat, but not good enough to buy again. CONS: The crust is pretty nasty as far as taste is concerned; key lime is not limey enough. Only gets 3 stars as I did eat the pie - but was unable to eat the crust. The white "cream" (?) is pretty bland, if not tasteless. If I'm eating dessert, it's a treat, and I'd like it to taste like one.
I ordered an Edward's Key Lime Pie, and y'all keep sending me this crap. I feel like y'all do this on purpose because nobody would ever intentionally pick this over any other brand. This "pie" is disgusting! I know y'all see these reviews. Discontinue this item and never try it again.
This is so bad. People who have rated thia five star must not have ever had a different key lime pie before. The taste is just bad. It dont even taste like key lime! And I never choose this. it's always a substitute. And I cry every time. Don't get this, spend the extra dollar for Edward's or Marie Callender's.
This is the worst pie I have ever eaten in my entire life. The texture is mushy, kind of like a paste, and it tastes more like lime air freshener than actual key lime. I took two bites, and the rest went into the trash. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get Edwards or Marie Callender's.
I usually find GV Walmart brand items to be trustworthy and have similar qualities as other brands. However, this pie was the worst I have ever tasted. The filling was ok, the whipping on top was sparse, and the crust honestly tasted like cardboard and was far too thick and sweet. I was truly disappointed with this product, I would not recommend this purchase.
The taste was totally disgusting, way too citrusy, almost tasted lemony for some reason. The color was also off and not really appealing. Definitely stick with the Edwards or Mari Callender Key Lime Pies, this one isn't worth the store brand discount at all.
Your key lime pie was so bad that I threw it away in the garbage. It tasted nothing like key lime. The crust was very thick and old and the key lime was nothing but vanilla pudding and very little of that.. I don't remember ever eating anything worse!. No substitutes. EVER.
Filling was grainy, didn't taste like lime, and the topping had a weird taste and texture. I buy Great Value all the time and have never really had a problem with quality. This is a huge disappointment. Especially since this was a replacement for a replacement that I didn't aporove.
