Works great and the light filled up the room. Wanted to use it for a 60's party where we wore neon clothes and had posters........ will use on Halloween next.
The lighting on this bulb was clearer and brighter than other brands without it being too harsh on your eyes. used it as an evening light for my two boys in their room and everyone was pleased with the overall quality of it
These things are awesome! Inexpensive, really bright, and an excellent UV effect. If you want a blacklight, this is your biggest bang for the buck. If you're still not sure, just grab a couple and enjoy the effect. You won't regret it.
lights up what it should and more. I wouldn't recommend it if you want it dark dark and just glow in the dark stuff glowing. it is good if you want glow in the dark stuff glowing and want to be able to see what you're doing. clear bulb with black light LED filament
Not sure how obvious this would be, but you cannot use any kind of lamp shade or opaque glass. A white lamp shade literally turns the black light into a blue light and you lose all your glow effects. Turning this bulb on in the middle of a 2nd bedroom made the entire bedroom 'light up', working really well and as intended. However the trade off is the bright bulb of blinding purple light that your face is constantly turning away from. A "Brighter" black light is NOT necessarily a good thing. They can be so bright that the whole room is lit up, awash with blue light , while the UV reactive things glow. Back in the day, we were always trying to make it so the room remains dark as can be while ONLY the UV things glowed, and it seemed like fluorescents did the trick. In any case, for a whopping $3, this bulb makes UV things glow and its just a matter of figuring out a good placement. After ordering 1, I came back and ordered 2 more. Side note: Those fluorescent black lights? Are kind of hard to find now. Everyone wants to sell you LEDs ones which are not quite the same in my opinion. Walmart does sell a fluorescent black light from their site, but they are like one of the few.
not as good of quality as they used to be. could lean more to a darker black light.
Lasted a solid 60 seconds before it went dim. Based on the reviews, these bulbs aren't consistent in quality. You either get a total dud, one that works well for a month before dimming, or one that works as it should for a while. If you need them in a pinch for a quick party, maybe get a few extra, prepared for duds, and just return the backups if you don't need them. If you need something to use often, I'd suggest buying another brand of bulb or getting a true blacklight.
I never received the item. It went to the wrong address and when I tried to get it it had already been taken by someone. Tried to contact my local Walmart and was told nothing they could do about it. Will not be doing ANYTHING with delivery again
In the box they are not black lights they are purple bulbs so I have to take them back and get the correct item or a refund
I really didn't like this light bulb. It wasn't bright enough for me; it was blue looking. I ended up buying another light bulb that was brighter.
