I have been using these bulbs for over six years now. I dont even remember when was the last time that we bought these. I only bought these hundred watt bulbs because we wanted more lights. We are using 60 W bulbs. They consume less electricity and the light is equivalent to the regular bulbs. I highly recommend these bulbs.
Have bought a few of these started with one pack waited about a month then replaced all common areas the benefits are reduced power bill and less lights needed because they brightened the dark spots very well. Give them a try, my experience with them is they are well worth the money.
Who can't use a few extra lightbulbs as backup? These Great Value 60 watt, soft white lightbulbs are great. You get 60 watts of brightness but only 9 watts of energy is actually used which makes them cost-saving. In my experience, the LED bulbs last much longer than the other bulbs. These bulbs are supposed to last up to 9 years! These bulbs are shatter resistant which is great! They are also a little smaller than other bulbs so they fit will fit in a smaller to medium base lamp. Another good product by Great Value.
These LED bulbs are perfect for decent, more natural lighting in the bathroom. I would suggest that if planning to use through-out the home, one should use ALL daylight bulbs or ALL soft-white bulbs. When some bulbs are daylight and some are soft-white, the soft-white bulbs will look quite "dingy" and yellowish. By using just daylight bulbs in one room (example: bathroom) the contrast will not be so obvious. The price for these bulbs purchased at Walmart is about the cheapest found.
I prefer daylight LED bulbs everywhere in the house for the color of the light they emit, except maybe in the bedroom. I replaced an older, bigger, bulkier 15W LED soft-white bulb that I had in a living-room floor lamp with this 14W daylight bulb and the difference is amazing. The bulb is standard sized but this 100W equiv bulb is a fraction of the size of the old bulb, which actually used to peek out over the top of the globe. More light, the right size, and one less watt. Win win win.
I bought enough of these to replace all the bulbs in my house. I like that they are energy efficient and will save money while lasting much longer so I don't have to change them ofter especially because I have 10 foot cielings so changing a bulb is a job.
Bought a 5 pack of 60W equivalent LED bulbs from a big box hardware store for my new 5 light chandler in the dinning room. They were way too bright. That store did not have a smaller wattage so got these and they are great. Wish they had 25W equivalent bulbs at this size for accent lighting.
These bulbs work very well providing light at reduced energy usage. One issue is that they must be used in areas where there is background noise as their constant hum is annoying. Compared to other brands of led bulbs that I have used, these are loud. Again, if used in an area where there is background noise, there is no problem. But if used in an otherwise quiet area, there a very annoying hum or buss from these bulbs. I listed these a being "recommended to a friend" but only with the stipulations regarding noise.
I've purchased several packages of these light bulbs in daylight and soft white over a 1 year span to compliment the GE and Phillips LED bulbs that I started purchased around 5 years ago. At the time they were less than half as expensive as the name brands so I gave them a shot because they appeared to be a great deal. They do provide great light output, fit in all fixtures that regular bulbs do, and I have not had any problems with flickering. The bulbs that I purchase said they are rated indoor/outdoor, for enclosed fixtures, and last 18 years with 3 hour/day use. The bad part is they just do not last as long as GE and Phillips bulbs and I have all three brands in my house. Around the 7-8 month mark they started going out one by one and by 1 year around 2/3 of them have burnt out. This is with normal use with some in open fixtures and some in enclosed fixtures. The ones in open fixtures and in my garage are lasting the longest which makes sense if they are sensitive to heat. Meanwhile the GE and Phillips bulbs that I purchased 3-5 years ago are still going strong with most in enclosed fixtures. The best thing about these bulbs are how cheap they are but if you have to replace them yearly then you will end up spending about the same or more than just going with the name brands. If you are looking for cheap LED bulbs and you don't mind replacing them like a normal bulb then these will do the job.
Purchased 12/5 and installed immediately. However, despite packaging saying they will last up to 9 years with 3 hr use per day, two of these bulbs lasted just over 2 months. I checked them in other light fixtures and they are so dim (and flicker at that) that they give no illumination - and they're supposed to be 100 watt equivalent! Very disappointed!
