Good standard bulbs. Got the Great Value LED Decorative Medium Base light bulbs in the 4-pack. They are the Daylight version which means that it casts a white light versus a yellow-ish one. The white light makes me think I’m more like outside, which is my preference, it also makes me wake up more, which is good I guess. These bulbs have a medium base. Translated, that means it fits most standard bulb lights. I added it to my corner lamp and love that this light bulb is dimmable. In my picture, the light bulb is at a medium setting and can get super bright, or super low. Note that the box says that these bulbs may not be compatible with all dimmers, but it worked with mine. While the base fits all standard bulb lamps or fixtures, the bulb itself is more like a chandelier version, eg slimmer, but it doesn’t have the pointy curled tip that those bulbs generally have. These bulbs work as intended, are LED and claim to last 13 years based on a 3 day per average usage rate. Love the energy used wattage of 5.5 watts which the box claims to only cost $0.66 per year. From a brightness perspective, they are 500 lumens which is pretty bright. I wish the box would translate the lumens into old wattage since that is what most people equate the power to. FYI – 500 lumens is about a 60W bulb. Overall, good bulbs to have as spare. They fit standard lamps and give off a white light.
I used these to replace some standard led bulbs in my dining room chandelier. I like that they have a classier look than the standard round bulbs. That night, I came around the corner and thought, “what’s going on out here!?” Because (what I hadn’t realized) these were ‘daylight’ bulbs. They emit a more neutral color rather than the warmer incandescent glow. It felt brighter and less ‘cozy’. I think I’m going to like that kind of light on gloomy or rainy days. It will make it feel more like natural daylight when I turn on the light.
Absolutely no lag time...turn on instantly. Decorative clear glass give off a subtly starburst image on the ceiling. Easy to install...no difficulties screwing the base into the socket. Dimming is smooth. No flickering.500 lumens is more than adequate for this application.
The Great Value LED bulbs in daylight are an awesome set of bulbs for chandeliers and other decorative fixtures. These medium (standard) base bulbs can also be used to replace any other similar base bulbs around the house. I am impressed with the light quality and the daylight is just about right. I just hope these last a few years so that I can continue to enjoy them. The fact that these are dimmable is a huge plus.
I am remodeling a bathroom, including installing a four-lamp Vanity Light fixture. This four-pack of LED Deco light bulbs are exactly what I need! These little lamps fit properly and screw into a "regular" lamp socket. And the light from these lamps is very white, not yellowish, like some incandescent light bulbs. (See photo). One unusual characteristic is that these LED Deco bulbs have dark yellow filaments. This is very unusual. (See photo). However, when the bulbs are illuminated there is only white light, not yellow. Very good product. Recommend.
These are some great little lights that fit very well into my dining room light. They fit in snugly, look great when off (they have a nice shape to them), and the dimming is perfect - they don't go bright and then just off, there is actually a good lighting range to fit any mood I am in. The light at its brightest is not too bright, more like sunrise in the morning. A great 4-pack!
Great Value LED Light Bulbs are very bright and dimmable. Now my kitchen can be very bright or just warm light. Bulbs are very small with standard E26 base. It fits my E26 base well. It can be brighter than the ones I bought at IKEA, and it's much smaller. I would recommend these bulbs for kitchen and reading rooms.
I'll compare these LED bulbs to the CFL bulbs. These LED bulbs are more compact. The base of it screws all the way into the light fixture, only the glass is exposed, so you hold the glass to screw and unscrew the bulb into the fixture. The LED glass does get warm but not hot like the CFL bulbs. LED uses half the wattage of a CFL. And is rated to last longer than a CFL. Also, the LED doesn't contain mercury like the CFL does. LED are dimmable. CFL are usually not dimmable. I've included a photo. Bright white is the LED (5.5w, 500 lumens, 5000 K). Warm white is the CFL (13w, 875 lumens, 2700 K).
I chose GREAT VALUE'S 4-PACK LED Energy Saving LIGHT BULBS for the floor lamp in our sitting room. They come with the following specs, ticking all the boxes I had: - They are dimmable. I can set "the mood" by adjusting their intensity if necessary. - They are B10 decorative bulbs with an E26 medium base, just right to fit our standing lamp. - They have an energy usage of 5.5 watts for the equivalence of 60 watts. - They are cost-effective. Each one shines at a low 66 cents a year. - The life of the bulb is 13 years. How great is that?? - They have been designated DAYLIGHT with a brightness of 500 lumens. - And the bulbs have clear glass for white light. Some background info: There's no overhead lighting in the sitting room. We use a combination of floor and table lamps to provide illumination for the family. This lamp has become a good source of light for us. Other considerations: You might need a different color (soft white) and shape (flame tip) depending on where you are installing the new light bulbs. I admit they are not very pretty to look at, but they work well for us... under a lampshade!
So as I put in my heading I thought this bulb would be brighter. For one it's an open interior, meaning no frosting or tinting to the glass. This bulb shown like a frosted bulb, I was surprised. Especially with the Interior appearance of the filament, looked more powerful. Second, it's Daylight which is important because Daylight is a much brighter style of bulb. Anyone who uses Daylight bulbs knows that this will illuminate your spaces with a much stronger brightness than other bulbs. This bulb feels like a Warm color, which is a much softer color for your space & for your eyes. 3rd & final is that it's 60 Watts LED, that's a very nice strength for an LED Bulb. Doesn't feel like 60 Watts, feels like 40 Max. I'm not sure if this bulb has been mislabeled, but it's not performing as it's marked. I will use this bulb in a softer setting space, so it's not a huge issue. However I don't think I would Recommend this product for someone looking for a bright Daylight 60 Watt LED. Thanks
