I buy this block cheese and grate it myself to put on pizza because it is better for your health than buying the bagged pre-shredded cheese because it doesn't contain the extra chemicals which keeps the cheese bits from sticking together. A one pound block fully grated will cover two large size pizzas. My wife does not like this Great Value brand, and thinks it doesn't taste as good, but I think it is all emotional. When she catches me buying this Great Value cheese she gets mad and makes me spend extra money for the brand name stuff, like Kraft. That probably well explains why people like her pay more for the brand-name items. I would however challenge her or anybody else to do a blind side-by-side taste test.
This cheese melts down really good and tastes wonderful. It makes for a great grilled cheese sandwich. Personally I don't care for it in a salad but that's just me. It goes perfect in an omelet very tasty or you can make pizza bites with a slice of bread cut into quarters, Put some marinara source on the bread (use a table spoon it works great) grade the mozzarella, don't be stingy and top off with a piece of sliced pepperoni. I put mine in the oven or the air fryer and the come out perfect. If you use the air fryer I suggest lightly toasting the bread first. Enjoy....
I love this cheese. It grates so nicely and tastes great in everything. Never lasts long enough to go bad. We grate it and freeze it - you csn use it right out of the freezer if you bang the container a few times to break it apart. So much better pre shredded cheese.
This here is the best — classic mozza. I think most of y'all know all about it because you been eatin pizza all your life. Melts so nice! And that wonderful taste. Mmmmm. How Willa — that's my wife — how Willa can ruin a pizza with anchovies and pineapple, I have no idea. It's still the strangest thing she's ever eaten in 31 years of marriage. Actually it was worse when she was preggers with Ed Junior. I think it was anchovies, pineapple, and lemon peel! And she put ketchup on every bite! No wonder Ed Junior ain't come out right.
I cut the cheese into 1 inch by 1 1 /2 sticks that I portion into snack bags reserving some for a week or two and the remainder in the freezer. This works for me so that I am able to save some for later, otherwise due to it's cream nutty taste I would consume it all in an afternoon.
I highly recommend this Great Value Low-Moisture Part- Slim Mozzarella Block Cheese. Perfect for slicing, shredding or cubing at home. Versatile addition to meal abd snacking applications like charcuterie boards and snacks boxes. With 7 grams of protein and only 80 calories. Made with milk for a rich, creamy texture!
Love this cheese on pizza, casseroles and more. Try Rigatoni. Brown ground beef; drain add 1 jar spaghetti sauce and seasonings Boil drain noodles and add to meat sauce. In separate bowl mix 2 heaping tablespoons of sour cream and 1 container of flavored cream cheese. (like garlic, herb, onion and chives). Layer meat sauce with cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese ending with meat on top. Bake till it bubbles. Add mozzarella to top of dish, melt. DINNER IS SERVED!!!!
Having ordered this cheese three times two times the package has been torn open He got mice on board trucks I don't know So it kinda ruins the texture doesn't it Yes it sure does SaDismayeDisappointed Enjoy Your Day AND Do That Every Day Be, Live, LOVE, Stay Well 👉☮️✌️🙏🏼🎼🎵🎶👈 😁🙃SMiles For Miles🙃😁 Bye Now 👋✌️
For a block of mozzarella, this product is okay. Understand it's not true mozzarella. It's over-salty (real mozzarella should have a very mild flavor). It shreds fine and melts like processed cheese should. Avoid freezing it, as the texture changes and it crumbles when you attempt to shred it after thawing out.
Why is my pound of mozzarella cheese? That wasn't even open moldy? Things now on the list that you can't order from walmart pick up. Meat It's expired. Potatoes are so rotten your fingers can go through them. And now cheese is moldy. It's obvious the pick up order people who pull them don't give a crap. You'll need to have a meeting and explain to them not to put rotten food in the order. I would love to be able to come and get my own groceries in the store. The problem is i'm disabled and can hardly walk and your motorized scooters are never charged. And I don't feel like sitting in the middle of the store looking like an idiot because the motorized scooter died again. So I switched to pick up orders. I have thrown away at least ten items because they are damaged, rotten, expired. Can you please use some care and common sense when you're pulling groceries for people. I'm not doing pick up because I'm lazy. I'm doing pick up because standing for ten minutes will make me have to lay down 4 hours. And now, can someone please tell me how I'm getting a pound of mozzarella cheese on thanksgiving day?
