Here's the other shredded cheese I like and buy. On salads, spaghetti, pizzas and other dishes it's quick easy and a pretty good taste and price. Once again, you can find a gourmet style taste and PRICE and, go for it. But OTC for quick and easy and family use, this is great.
I've started looking to Great Value to replace the name brands of many products. I find Great Value is just as good and sometimes better. This Mozzarella Cheese is no different. Great quality and taste at a great price compared to name brands. We use it to make Hot Honey Eggs and it works very well in this dish. Highly recommend this product and encourage you to try the other Great Value Products.
I love this cheeks. You can use it for making recipes or ingredients for your recipes for burritos sandwiches no sweetness because it's cheese. I love to find cheese for certain recipes and on top of pizza it just makes it taste different and it works good.
I've used this in pasta al forno, pizza, and several other dishes. It's especially good fresh on pizza, where the flavor really stands out. For most other recipes, fresh or frozen works equally well. It freezes fine, though it can clump a bit, so I recommend using frozen portions in cooked dishes. Overall, it's a versatile and dependable ingredient.
I've bought this cheese several times now and had no problems it has great texture and flavor and I use it with my omelettes and scrambled eggs. I normally buy two at a time . The flavor is very good I like this brand for this cheese it's just as good as the expensive ones. I will continue to buy it. As long as it's fresh as I've been getting . I've never had a problem with it before never had moldy cheese nothing always fresh so far. So I will continue to buy this .
here's a tip before I start I am a major cheese lover I have researched and apparently mozzarella is the best for you if on a diet anyway back to the review I love how it is finally shredded so it will melt better and is just all that much easier I wish they did it with all of their types such as the extra sharp anyway it has a good flavor and it's close enough to the more premium brands but not so much that I'm going to pay a premium price this does the trick it tastes good it's finally shredded and as far as melting apparently any bagged shredded cheese does not melt as well as if you buy a block of cheese and shred it yourself but this is much simpler and quicker if you are like me you prefer simpler and quicker so yes I do recommend this only recently make sure to do your math some of their things have larger sizes of which you would think then you would be getting a special deal but you're not I added up two of the smaller packages and they were cheaper than if I were to buy the double size that makes no sense to me except it seems like trickery with everything going up in price as it is I thought if you bought bulk you paid less in this case you paid more so needless to say I will be keeping an eye on the prices of each size as should you but the product yes thumbs up
I don't know what's happening to the quality but this mozzarella is so different from even 2 months ago. The mouth feel is plasticy, almost chewing gum consistency - which is so weird. It doesn't melt at all - not in the oven on lasagna, not in a stovetop grilled cheese, not in an air fryer pizza, not even on a plate in the microwave! The taste has been really bland - no mozzarella flavor at all. It's not very good anymore. I gave it 3 stars becauseiI'm not sure if it's a batch issue or if there were recipe changes bringing the quality down. His the 2nd bag like the so I'm giving it one more chance before I write it off completely.
Hardly taste like cheese anymore. I've read recently, where there are fillers added, and possibly unsafe additive to prevent mode which may account for substantial lack of flavor and pale color. Alternative comparison Albertsons and Tom Thumb grocery stores, their Lucerne Brand contain no fillers or additives to reduce the color or taste of real cheese. An added bonus cheese goes on sale for less than six dollars for 2 pounds whereas Walmart cheese never goes on sale or on a rollback. Just the truth.
TOTALLY DISGUSTED TODAY ORDERED A HOT ROASTED CHICKEN AND WHAT DID I GET IN THE SAME BAG WITH THE HOT ROASTED CHICKEN?? A BAG OF CHEESE THAT WAS UP AGAINST THE CHICKEN AND IT WAS ONE BIG BLOB OF MELTED YUCK!!! 😢🤢🤯😭 HOW AM I TO BE EXPECTED TO USE GRATED CHEESE WHEN I HAVE ONE BIG BLOB OF MELTED CHEESE BECAUSE THE SHOPPER WAS TOO IGNORANT TO NOT PUT IT IN THE SAME BAG AS A HOT ROTISSERIE CHICKEN??? 🤦🏼♀️👎🏼👀🤷🏼♀️ ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS USE HIS BRAIN...... BUT HE COULDN'T DO THAT HE COULDN'T TAKE THE TIME TO STOP 🛑🫸🏼🚫 AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT HE WAS DOING AND TO NOT PUT A COLD PACKAGE OF CHEESE IN THE SAME EXACT BAG AS A NICE HOT ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. THE CHICKEN WAS GREAT. JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO WITH A BLOCK OF GRATED CHEESE. SERIOUSLY, WALMART TRAINER SHOPPERS BETTER. THEY ARE DOING A VERY POOR JOB LATELY!! 🤦🏼♀️ I GIVE UP WRITING REVIEWS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ANYMORE?? THE SHOPPER'S DEFINITELY NEED TO HAVE TRAINING BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ANY LONGER!!!
We bought this cheese since we were on a budget and making a new casserole recipe. This cheese wont melt!! so strange. We tried 10 more minutes 2x, covered and uncovered as well as broiling. Just weird. I'll splurge next time or go to HEB. Lesson learned. **note** 1st pic was after 35mins uncovered. 2nd pic - what you see on the blue plate that is melted is the fresh mozzarella. the stringy bits are the bagged mozzarella cheese after various attempts at melting it. The blue plate pic is after 4mins in the microwave the next day lol!
