AT 81, I LIVE ALONE AND, OF COURSE, ON A BUDGET. EVERY SO OFTEN I GET A NOTION TO MAKE A LASAGNA FROM SCRATCH. AND I WOULDN'T THINK OF DOING SO WITHOUT WAL-MART'S, 32oz, LOW MOISTURE, SKIMMED, MOZZARELLA CHEESE! IT'S DOES THE JOB EXCELLENTLY FOR SO MUCH LESS! MY LARGE LASAGNA IS DIVIDED INTO 9 PIECES WHICH I FREEZE...TO EAT AT MY LEISURE. WAL-MART'S 'GREAT VALUE' PRODUCTS WERE MADE WITH 'BUDGET CONSCIOUS' FOLKS IN MIND AND I AM DELIGHTED! ❤️
Thanks for this product. I use to do this very thing for myself. Now that I'm a senior and hands with arthritis I can no longer can do it. I sure love buying it already done for me. Thanks for the convenience of this. And even though it is a off brand it really is good cheese. I do have to say it is worth the lesser price for cheese taste they don't lack on.
I love great value shred cheeses. they are great for salads, added on pizza's, tortilla's, with black olives ! They can be used for most anything...and they taste soooo good ! my third grader loves the Colby jack on top of her chile..the only way she will eat it‼️
This shredded mozzarella has turned out to be one of my favorite kitchen staples. It melts evenly, has a creamy flavor, and gives that nice stretch you want for homemade pizza. I use it mostly for our sourdough pizzas, and it holds up perfectly without turning oily or runny. The texture is light but not dry, and it has a clean taste that works just as well for casseroles, pasta bakes, or grilled sandwiches. I also like that it comes in a big 32-ounce resealable bag, which keeps it fresh for a while even after opening. It’s easy to grab a handful when cooking and seals right back up. The balance between flavor, melt, and price makes it a great value, especially if you cook often or bake your own bread. It’s consistent, versatile, and better quality than you might expect from a store brand. My helpful tip: If you’re using it for homemade pizza, let it sit out for a few minutes before baking-it melts more evenly that way.
This is one of those staples I like to keep in the fridge because it’s just easy to use in so many different ways. Since it’s already shredded, it saves time and you can grab what you need without any extra prep. It melts nicely without turning greasy, which really makes a difference. You get that smooth, stretchy melt you want, whether you’re making something simple or adding it into a full meal. Nothing like a lazy little homemade pizza, I’ll use pita bread, add some sauce, sprinkle this on top, and throw it in the oven or air fryer. It melts evenly and comes out really good without much effort. But that’s not the only way I use it. It works great for quick quesadillas with tortillas, enchiladas, pasta, even macaroni and cheese. I’ve also added it over beans or mixed it into different dishes, and it blends in well without overpowering the flavor. The taste is mild, which makes it versatile, and the larger bag size is convenient since you can get quite a few meals out of it depending on how you use it. If you’re looking for a reliable shredded cheese that melts well and fits into all kinds of everyday meals, this is a good one to keep on hand.
Another good cheese product this old, senior buys and eats too much of. I admit I buy cheaper frozen pizzas then throw on mounds and mounds of this mozz cheese! (exaggeration!) But, as I said with the cheddar, I'll put it on other stuff. Like: salads; minestrone soup or, a slice of toast with the cheese, a tomato cut up, garlic salt, and drizzled with olive oil , in the microwave till melted. You can find a gourmet Mozz if, you want to pay for it! You're call.
I like this in a pinch when I'm pressed for time, but I don't like the powdery coating that's added to it to keep the shreds from sticking together. For that reason I give it 4 stars. Otherwise, it's good, especially if you're in a hurry and don't have time to shred cheese.
Dries out relatively too fast while it’s sealed in another Ziploc bag doesn’t taste like cheese entirely has an odd texture I wouldn’t recommend it but for the price if it’s all you can afford go for it it doesn’t melt properly for me same for the Colby Jack
I don't usually have issues when I purchase this product. However, this time, the product appears to have been frozen, thawed and frozen again, before being thawed for presentation. Quality and consistency of product was not consistent with past purchases.
I have bought this shredded cheese for several years, and I was very happy with it until my last purchase. I don’t know what happened, but the cheese doesn’t have as much flavor, and it’s in clumps rather than shredded cheese! With the rising costs of groceries, I wanted to warn other customers to check the cheese before buying! I use the pickup and delivery services, so I didn’t inspect the cheese prior to purchasing it. Some of the cheese is still shredded, but it has a weird consistency as well. I don’t know if it’s a bad batch or if this is how the cheese is going to be processed from now on. Mine had a Best Buy date of May 15, 2026. I have attached pictures for your convenience. I will be buying other shredded cheese going forward. I just wasted my money on 2 pounds of poor “processed” cheese. I personally don’t recommend it, but maybe I just got a bad batch. I highly recommend you inspect the package before buying at least.
