This is my go to bag when pizza is on the menu for tonight's supper. Adding this across the top before popping that pizza in the oven was the best thing I did after adding Jalapenos to it. It melts and makes that pizza have a whole new meaning to me. Them quick ones you can buy in the brick and mortar store for the nights meal add this, it makes it have a new personally, seriously. I found out this works great if we have chicken and marinade sauce nights also melted across the top of it. Decent price for a small bag that goes a long way when used. Sprinkle some more on that please.
This is our preferred mozzarella cheese for dishes such as baked ziti and mostaccioli. It melts easily and has a creamy texture. It's also yummy right out of the bag (I've heard ;-) )
Not the richest mozzarella I've ever had nor the strongest flavored but melts pretty well and the shreds are small enough to distribute evenly on a pizza. That's mainly what I use these for dressing up a Frozen pizza that is short on cheese or just needs general help. But it would make very adequate lasagna too.
Sorry, I tried to like this, but it tastes more like "cheese product" than real mozzarella cheese. It just has a weird taste to it, and it's not because of the expiration (which is weeks away).
I looked up the bar code numbers for great valve shredded mozzarella cheese and it showed I bought 2 packages at Walmart and I wasn't notified of the recall. The recall didn't even mention South Dakota either.
This item has been recalled. Why wasn't I notified? Why isn't it listed on your list of food recalls on your website? The UPC code matches one of the recalled items.
Sadly one package I opened but I have to with the upc and pictures of them that are on recall and it states that you should be able to get a refund or throw them out! I wanted refund due to budgets and won't get helped sad 😔
change the picture that goes with this listing. i ordered it for a recipe and specially looked for the bags that say "4 cups" and purchased 3 for a total of what i thought was 12 cups. but it is only a 2 cup bag! so i only have half of what i need for my recipe
I only use Shredded Mozzarella for pizza's and lasagnas. This Low Moister Part Skim Mozz. does not melt correctly. I've tried putting the oven rack closer to the top of the oven thinking that was the issue but that didn't work. This cheese will melt to a point but then just stops you can still see the individual shreds of cheese. Its not the brands fault, its the LOW MOISTURE PART SKIMS fault. I've bought GV's "block" of WHOLE MILK MOZZARELLA and shredded it myself and it worked fine. I have the same melting...or non melting issue with Kraft's Low Moisture Part Skim too. When did they start shelling this junk and why? Everyone is so health-conscious these days that its hard to find good food!
Ordered online for delivery. The picture of product, and the cheese I received say's nothing about being finely shredded. Strange to not have it in description or on package. It's a finely shredded cheese which is a waste of money as it doesn't melt properly which is what I intended to use it for.
