If you dislike fruit or vegetables in your daily diet, Frozen fruit is the way to go. These smaller 2-serving bags of fruit are pretty ideal for thawing out in a Tupperware bowl and tossing in the fridge. Like it or not, if you have to move it out of the way enough times to get to the good stuff (leftover take-out), you'll eventually eat the mango chunks. But seriously, I switched to a fruit-and-veggie diet as a replacement. Replacement meaning for breakfast, you eat mango chunks, thawed out and ready to eat, rather than bacon. Thawed-out strawberries, rather than... say... um... Cap'n Crunch, see where I'm going with this. It really does work because you just grab the bowl outta the fridge, crack it open, grab a spoon, and pig out, man!
You know you love mango but when you want it, you usually cant find fresh mango. This is the next best thing! Since these bite size pieces are frozen, you can take a little or allot out, then reseal! My daughter has braces and so she melts them in her mouth to ease the pain. These are great for smoothies, thawed for a fruit salad or snacks on the go. High in vitamin C!
These make the best snacks especially in the spring and summer. I buy the huge bag because I eat so much. I let the fruit thaw just a tiny bit and then eat it let each piece melt in my mouth. It is so creamy and great when you want something cold but not ice cream. Everyone must try these by themselves or in a smoothie, a fruit salad, etc. I have tried other brands, and Great Value is the best.
I really like the frozen mango chunks!! It is so much easier to buy the frozen, pre-cut mangos than buying fresh and losing half to the messiness of cutting one up!! I gave a five star because of price and ease of use, but be aware tgat not each chunk is equally sweet. I said this because of so many naysayers who want to gripe about any little thing! I get the nutritional benefits of a mango along with the ease of using frozen friut!!
These are a staple that I keep in my freezer. I eat a bowl for breakfast or as a snack. You can eat it straight out of the freezer or let it thaw overnight in the fridge or just on the counter for a little while, depending on how you like it. Very reasonable price compared to fresh mango. would be good for a smoothies but I just eat it straight as is
I buy these quite often. I love to eat them "as is" because of the fresh taste even though they are frozen. The mango chunks are not "sweet sweet",but I eat them as a healthy snack to satisfy my sweet tooth when I am trying to avoid candy or cookies. Occasionally, I will blend them with some date syrup to make a delicious sorbet type treat.
My family love these whether snacking on partial frozen-just microwave a bit or allow to thaw at room temperature-or in a smoothie with yogurt. Some packages are better than others. At times they have been slightly underripe but that's the exception.
It had become difficult for my wife to peel fresh mango almost daily, so we tried the frozen Mango chunks and they as good as the fresh. Plus somebody else does the peeling and chopping.
I buy these frozen mango chunks weekly, they are so versatile and we make candy, smoothies, jello, popsicles, sorbets, hot sauce, or just eat them plain. I highly recommend these, especially for the hot Texas summer! 🔥 🥭 ☀️
Good flavor and ok price. I just reordered it from Walmart because I get it delivered but noticed 2 days ago that Grocery Outlet had a 4lb bag for $10 so only 2.5/lb saving a small amount. Since the savings are small it isn’t worth driving to a different store to me. I use this with banana and a juice to make a great tasting smoothie. I found that the mango was frozen to each other making it hard to get individual pieces out.
