Great value actually makes really good cheese. Their sliced American cheese is way way better than Kraft. This cheese is the best you'll get anywhere in this piece range. Oh and cheese that you buy grated in the bag has cornstarch mixed into it so the little cheese strands don't stick together. Do yourself a favor and grate your own cheese. It's way better.

Delicious! Lasts forever if wrapper is kept on in the deli drawer. Gets better even if it gets hard at the end just grate it. A very good buy!!! Check out the other GV cheese in chunks too - the GV pepper jack and the GV provolone are also very tasty and avail in chunks of the 8oz, the 16oz or the 32oz. It costs less to buy the chunk nit the shredded and all you do is cut or grate its not a big deal %26 saves $$$$

I bought these for planned casseroles that all require cheese. Cheddar is a standard that works for most recipes. I haven't used this cheese yet, but I have bought these from Walmart in the past, and I am betting that they are just as good. I bought about 3 or 4 and plan on freezing them for future use. Research showed that frozen cheese works just as well when unfrozen, especially when used for cooking. I haven't tested that yet, but we'll see. I would buy this product again. I am not a paid reviewer.

great for cheese toast. (I toast the bread in the toaster and melt the cheese in the microwave, the pore it over the "cooked" toast. SO good and cost effective. Now, I have a small problem with the fact my old yellow lab behaves like drug-addiction when it comes to this cheese. she can be sleeping in her room and if I try and quietly get the cheese out of the frig she can hear and identify the cheese wrapping and come running into the kitchen begging for a bite. she is relentless! of course, I give her a piece. :)

I usually buy Tillamook brand, but then I tried this GV cheese. First, it weighed almost 17 ounces straight out of the package. Then, after tasting it, I am sure that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and Tillamook on a sandwich. It grates well, it melts right, why spend more money for essentially the same thing, and less of it? I will buy this again.

Great Value brand is as good if not better than a name brand! I enjoy putting slabs of cheese on white bread and toasting them until the cheese has melted some. I eat a lot of this!

This produce item was fresh, flavorful, and looked great when I purchased it. The quality was excellent, and it stayed fresh for several days. It worked perfectly in our meals and was enjoyed by the whole family. I would definitely buy it again.

Our family usually prefers this cheese to other brands, but the quality has really gotten bad. About 6 months ago I noticed a texture change, but the taste was still the same. Now the last two blocks of had nearly no flavor to them. Not buying again. I would rather pay more for a name brand and enjoy my food.
