Listen. For a 7.2oz frozen microwave pizza, this little thing shows up ready to perform. The thin crust actually crisps up nicely (especially if you give it a minute to cool so you don't scorch the roof of your mouth like the rest of us), and the sauce-to-cheese ratio is surprisingly solid. It's the perfect size for a quick lunch, late-night snack, or “I don't feel like cooking but I also don't want regret” meal. The crust has a good crunch, the toppings are evenly distributed, and it genuinely hits the pizza craving without hitting your wallet. Is it gourmet wood-fired pizza? No. Does it absolutely get the job done in under 5 minutes? Yes. Will I keep buying it? Also yes. For the price, this pizza is punching way above its weight class.
These are small, no doubt, but for around a buck - can't beat it. Much better toasted than microwaved though - so try that. Tolerable out of microwave, just chewy instead. If you toast one it doesn't take long, and much crisper. Lacks cheese, and toppings are sparse, but for a dollar... If you buy several of these, can get a bag of cheese/pepperonis and jazz it up. Makes the dollar pizza much better.
Using a small RV oven for cooking is always a hit or miss with temperatures %26 can't always follow instructions on food box. But this GV pizza was perfect! Not too thin (like Totinos), not too thick (like Red Baron). And the size fits perfectly into our small oven! Think we found a winner for movie nights!
Not the healthiest choice but a Great Price for a quick snack. To make a meal out of one, I add garlic powder, basil, Italian seasoning, pepperoni, shredded cheese, parmesan and crushed pineapple. If you add more toppings just make sure to bake it longer.
The putting together of these has a lot to be desired. Meaning the that I find a lot of the time the cheese is put on very little a lot of the times. I don't need a lot of cheese but when half or more of the cheese is not being put on there's a problem.
I personally wouldn't purchase this again as it wasn't a time saver for me. After receiving it, I read on the microwave instructions it must be placed in a rotating microwave. I was able to bake it in the oven. I had purchased this for my husband to make a quick snack or meal . He doesn't know how to use the oven plus it is tiny to heat up the whole oven and it takes a long time compared to 3 min in the microwave.
This used to be good, now they are no longer tightly wrapped in plastic! The plastic on the back is not sealed, it's just flapped over the length of the entire pizza. And it's not like the box is a fortress either. There are perforations and gaps at corners so basically the pizza is at great risk for contamination. All three I bought were like this. Come on Great Value, this is basic food safety!!
This is not a fair rating. I tried heating it in my air fryer and it did not come out at all. What I did taste of it I did not care for the flavor. Now the size was real nice for the price I will give it that. And bet if I would have cooked it in the microwave I just might have liked it better.
I have tried hundreds of 'heat and eat' items over the years and this is one of the worst things I have ever tasted. I ordered 3 and I have only tried one which I prepared in the microwave. I will try another in the oven. If it isn't better the last one will be what I call sink food. Sink food is prepared in the sink with the disposal running. Cheap as the item is, I feel like I paid at least 100 times more than it was worth. I have never left a review like this in my life. Just thought it would be kind to warn others to avoid this item.
I've ordered this product multiple times. most of the time my daughter has had no complaints. she was shocked when she opened the package and it was not as expected....while usually it is wrapped in plastic, it was loose in the box. though it didn't look like it had been tampered with ...we put it in the trash to be safe....prior to this they would have been a 5/5.
