Great Value Mild Cheddar Block Cheese, 8 oz Chunk

I grew up eating Longhorn Cheddar cheese. And although I enjoy many other types of cheese, Longhorn is still my favorite. Longhorn is a Colby cheese. This mild cheddar is so similar to Colby and Longhorn that I have no trouble substituting one for the other. Sometimes this cheese is a little bland, but that is true of all cheeses, for the seasonal diet of the cows does affect their milk and cheese. But usually this Mild Cheddar has the flavor and texture that I really love. I'm not much for the sharper flavored cheeses, though they do have their uses. So for those who, like me, like the milder cheeses, this is a pretty fair choice. I buy it rather frequently.

I have been shredding my cheeses instead of buying pre shredded. This mild cheddar along with a few other cheeses makes a great Mexican blend. The taste is very good in my opinion and it's affordable for this widow on social security. Budgeting is required for me and it's nice I can get this cheese.

This mild cheddar is very good. It is even good when eaten right from the fridge, although I prefer it at room temp - this is when it's true flavor is revealed!! It is creamy, and as advertised mild flavor. I use this cheese a lot. Love it melted on an omelet or on a sandwich %26 is delightful when making a grilled cheese sandwich.

This cheese tastes as good, if not better, than the expensive name brand. It melts easily and has a creamy taste to it. The price is awesome. Have bought Walmart cheeses for a long time now and never have been disappointed . This is good on tacos, burritos and in salads. Also good on cheese board.

This cheese makes to best grilled cheese sandwich for sure...I buy the block because it has a better taste then the sliced just my opinion , the price is good and im happy with it sometimes I cut hunks off and have it as a snack with some crackers

Great value block cheese is always on hand at our house, all the flavors, great for snacking, sandwiches, meal additions, casseroles, even grilled cheese. The texture and flavor is good. Will continue to buy.

Great for shredding or cutting and snacking on. Always fresh and cheesy flavor. Excellent on burgers and sprinkled on burritos. Excellent source of calcium.

It definitely doesn't taste as good as some name brand cheeses, but for the huge costs savings, it is well worth it! The blocks of GV cheese are the only cheese I buy. I am a cheese head and eat cheese on everything, I just eat cheese, lol. I highly recommend this product compared to name brands. Taste is very close to some name brands, texture is exactly the same. Put this in your favorite dish and you'd never know the difference.

texture was too soft for cheddar cheese. taste was bland. felt more like Velveeta. I buy this product quite often but will switch to another brand. this was the second time in the past few weeks I have purchased this and both were too soft.
