Great Value Mild Cheddar shredded cheese 32 oz bag is a very good value, the shreds of cheese are the right thickness the cheese tastes so good and melts well, just like it blends in good with a fresh salad. I like using the shredded cheese for toppings in meals, mixing the cheese in a fresh bowl of spaghetti, or sprinkling the cheese over toasted bread. Sometimes I will use the cheese to make tuna patties with so my whole family can enjoy the wonderful tasting cheese.
This cheese has become the answer to a surprising number of kitchen problems. Dinner seems boring? Add cheese. Leftovers need help? Add cheese. Family members are suspicious of vegetables? Believe it or not, add cheese. The flavor is consistently good, it melts beautifully, and the large bag is perfect for busy households.
As expensive as cheese has gotten I don't know why you'd buy a name brand cheese when this GV brand is just as good! I use so much cheese it's ridiculous! I can run out of anything and be fine but if I even start getting low on cheese I'm at the store right away!!
I freely admit that purchasing a block of GV cheese and shredding it myself avoids the "non-caking" agent they put on the pre-shredded cheese. But, when I don't have the time or energy to shred it myself this is a fine alternative. I melts well and tastes good and it's the same price as the block cheese.
This cheese is the best value for your money if your family uses a lot of cheese. It melts easily and tastes great. We use it for burritos, tacos, quesadillas, salads and other recipes which require cheese. Thi is regularly on my grocery list.
Great price for the cheese. I think it's like 1 or 1 or 2 or 2 and a 1 bucks. Great for if you're grabbing tacos or something that you're gonna have real. At the end of the night, need to grab something quick, but you don't want to buy a huge bag, definitely taste goods very fresh. Just good cheese, great people think because it's great value. It's not gonna be good because it's cheap. But I rest assured, it's it's good cheese
Very good cheese. Not the thin/fine kind, this is a little bigger. Great on salads and quesadillas and when you run out of sliced cheese… use it on a burger. I buy the larger bag because I eat at home more with the rising prices of food. This is comparable to other brands of the same cheese as far as taste. It melts well.
Normally we don't have someone knock on the door at all, they just leave on the porch. I have advanced stage 4 cancer and he said he knocked on the door 5x's. Which got the dogs going crazy. I'm not sure if he was upset because of the tip because it wasn't added on at that moment. Finances have been more difficult because of my illness so we always try to add the tip when we can. I was going to go in and add the tip after we got everything in and put away, but after thinking about 3xs, I'm sorry, it seemed like he was more irritated instead of being helpful.
I've tried several of the great value brand cheeses. I have not had good luck. I will try them again once each year to see if they change. They don't melt as well, they are greasy, they have too much cornstarch on them. Other people swear by them, love them. eh. I'm not a fan. I will keep trying them though, because the price can't be beat.
The last few bags had a peculiar smell, and some of the cheese was wet and stuck together. This is more prevalent in the fine grated texture. Mostly used for cooking and in the past it has been OK. Not a lot of cheddar flavor. value priced, but not the quality you would hope for
