I love love milk. I usually use whole milk. But when I run out, and crave milk, and this fat-free milk is available in the house, I have it and it still tastes like heaven! You can use it for so many things, like smoothies, hot chocolate, instant pudding, cakes, rice pudding or add to coffee!
It's hit or miss with this milk. It seems to go bad faster than the Kroger brand. Also don't keep it on your refrigerator door shelf that makes it go bad faster too. I do Walmart plus and have it delivered. The issue with that is sometimes they bring me one with a date that's about to expire. I don't use milk that often because I don't drink it. When I complain that it's about to expire they expect me to bring it back to the store! Nope! You brought it here expired you come back and get it.
I shop on line/delivery because I'm handicapped and I keep getting milk that spoils before I can get to best by date. 1 quart is the same and not enough for my needs. I live alone and throw out more of your milk than I get to consume. I only buy Hood now. I have better lucķ.
The person picking this product chose one with only 3 days left on the use by date. Living alone there is No Way Possible for me to use it before it's out of date. The people picking the groceries OUGHT to pay closer attention to what they are doing. This is becoming a problem for me.
A week ago I bought this milk in-store and the jug said "sell by date: 5/16/25". We used most of it and on 5/16 the remaining milk was no longer good. The same I had a new jug delivered w/the same sell by date. Sure enough I opened it and was greeted with the sugary smell and taste milk has when it's expired. The milk going bad on the exact sell by date from Walmart has happed other times as well. Not sure how they get away with labeling it as a "sell by" date when it's clearly the "use by" date.
I have ordered milk multiple times and though the expiration date is later, the milk never lasts very long. It's 100% of the time. I think it probably needs its own cooler on deliveries. I am always here when the delivery comes so it's never because it sits outside here
Walmart delivered expired milk that was dated by May 24th ( I took a picture of the date) and because it was a delivery I couldn't even return it because I have to go back to the store and stay in the line. No more delivery from Walmart and if I want dairy I have to pick it up.
I've always gotten store brand over name brand especially in this economy when I can, but for the past year or two any time I get the this milk no matter if it's skim or 2% it's spoiled before the the expired date, sometimes even the day I receive it. not really worth the savings if you can't use it, save yourself the risk of spoiled milk and money loss and just spend a bit more for name brand.
I would love to say this milk is great. And in the past, it was good. but recently the milk I have gotten was dated to expire within 24 hours. Others expire after a week but curtle within a day or two. I've had to throw out my milk 3 of the last 4 deliveries. Maybe my local Walmart has a broken refrigerator. Maybe they have one person to deliver several homes at a time in the heat. But I can no longer recommend Walmart nonfat milk.
I ordered fat free milk and I didn't get any milk. I had to go to Publix and get fat free milk. I have fat free milk 4 times the first time it was the wrong milk, the second time I didn't get any milk, the 3rd time I got the correct milk, and the 4th time which the last time I didn't get any milk.
