I don't usually like trail mix but this trail mix has the right blend of salty and sweet. I love the protein that it packs along with a lil sweetness with the raisins and m%26m's. Just a little curbs my appetite when I'm hungry and not able to eat right away. I keep a ziplock bag full in my purse.
I love this mix , it has peanuts, candy, raisens, and cashews and almonds in it. It is the proper mix of sweet and salty if that is what you are after. It is filling, and provides nutrients and protien. I love getting a dixie cup full and snacking because it is good, and on the more healthy side then candy or cookie selections.
I have to eat about 3,000 calories per day, and this variety of trail mix allows me to get quite a number of those without much saturated fat but along with a fair amount of protein. For breakfast, I tend to mix a cup and a half of this in a bowl with a small tub of low-fat cultured dairy blend for a high-calorie thick cereal/milk replacement. Yes that sounds odd, but it works for my dietary needs.
Can I keep enough of this trail mix in my house my husband loves him. He eat them. All the time is always a snack for him. Thank you Walmart for selling great value trail mix is a nice price and affordable and I think everyone wants to have them, it'll be good on family night with some checks and with some Other good things such as potato chips.
I changed up my snack routine. I eat as much as I want as often as I want of these nuts. my nails are getting thicker. my hair looks better. I feel better. completely satisfied with the change in snacks. I absolutely love this mix. you get just as much sweets in the bag as you do nuts. they don't hold back on the good stuff. I get my daily dose of chocolate and raisins as well as different types of nuts
My take on this GV Mountain Trail Mix is that none of the ingredients are really fresh, but it's not exactly stale either. The peanuts and cashews don't have a stale flavor, but you can tell that they don't have that fresh, crunchy texture as your eating them. The raisins are kind of hard, but not any more so than what you would find in a box of raisin bran cereal. And the M%26M candies are just fine the way they are. But the one item that is not acceptable is the almonds. They are extremely hard, to the point of being brittle. I've bought this trail mix before, and don't remember the almonds being this hard. I checked the “use by” date, and my current bag has another year before it reaches the posted date. I ended up just picking out the almonds and throw them away while I'm eating the trail mix. If I knew that future bags would be the same as this one, I wouldn't buy it and just find an alternative brand to purchase.
Most of the "nuts" were salted ,fried ,spanish peanuts. The real nuts were traces of small almonds and traces of cashew halves. The next obvious ingredient was craisins. The greater bulk of the package was the salted peanuts which weren't of the finest quality either. If the peanuts were the roasted unsalted kind the mix would have been much better and a better value IMH
The amount and JUMBO size of the raisins in this bag of Mountain Trail Mix was nuts. 🫡 Never, have I ever seen such a giant raisin in my life. And they were nasty with an unpleasant chewing texture and took over the whole entire bag of trail mix. Without the ginormous raisins, the trail mix was edible. However, I would never purchase again as a result of those raisins!
Poor quality this product taste stale and has no flavor to it at all. I've never bought this before and have it taste like this. It's in eight but it taste like crap. How do I get a refund on this product? We opened it today which is Saturday please let me know. How do I get my credit back for this item? I'll be more than happy to drop it off at the store if you would like it back I wouldn't even feed it to anyone ….
Raw peanuts and about 2/3's of a bag of raisins does not meet my standards for a trail mix at the stated price. Nor would I have liked it if it was $2 a bag. Could it have been part of a bad batch(for whatever reason)? Maybe. In order to recuperate from this bad experience, I ordered separate ingredients to make my own trail mix. In a sense, I paid triple the price due to paying for GV Trail mix and having to order separate ingredients to make my own. I pray that I don't make the mistake of ordering these again. I still have that bag of GV Trail Mix (raisins %26 raw peanuts). I just don't want to pull it out %26 look at it. I intend to return it to the store ASAP. The 2 ingredients left me in the state of “I'd rather forget” that I forgot to dig em up %26 put them in the car before leaving. I may have taken a picture of them I this phone. I will submit it later because I've written such a long description that I don't want it to “disappear” during my photo search.
