The Great Value Mozzarella String Cheese is a surprisingly solid pick if you want a convenient snack that doesn't compromise on quality. Each stick has a clean, mild taste that's exactly what you expect from good mozzarella—simple, creamy, and satisfying. The texture is spot‑on, too. It pulls apart easily in those classic strings, and it's firm without being rubbery. Whether you're packing lunches or grabbing something quick from the fridge, it feels consistent from stick to stick. With 36 individually wrapped pieces, the bag offers excellent value for money. You get a generous amount for the price, and the freshness holds up well over time. A dependable, tasty option that's great for kids, adults, and anyone who loves a no‑fuss cheese snack.
THIS IS THE BEST "EASY TO OPEN" PACKAGING/ BEST 'MOZZARELLA FLAVOR/ Way better than the previous version ...I" Eat these sticks 7-dayza week...✅ Clayton 👍
The cheese tasted fine. It was very soft and not salty. Maybe I had a good batch, because I always buy mozzarella sticks from different brands, and sometimes they are slightly salty. My only complaint is the price was raised and the quality of the packaging was reduced. Flimsy low-quality plastic, tears poorly, and hard to peel them open now. It is at the point where it makes more sense to just munch on 1lb block cheese.
Just like most GV products, it's exactly that.. And taste that as well. However, idk if you switch manufactures cause the packaging got better but the product.. Ummm.. Diffrent. It went from tasting like polly o(which i loved) to not to Frida or something.. And u don't like it lol
What the heck did you change in the recipe? These use to be my safe snacks because they were always delicious. Purchased them a few weeks ago and they were good. Just got them in my recent order and they're not the same. Different packaging and they're soft and squishy, don't peel and have a rotten salty milk flavor. Seriously, why can't anything stay the same? Was hoping it was a one off and I bought another package. Nope, absolutely disgusting now. New recipe is just nasty.
I have been using cheese sticks as a protein addition for my lunches and snacks for several years now, but the quality has gone downhill and unfortunately, within one package there is not consistency of texture between different cheese sticks, which makes me question the quality control of the product. I am so disappointed and have had to throw out so many pieces of cheese because they are just hard and disgusting.
This WalMart in Sulphur Springs, Texas is run by the worst management team is the company! They are constantly out of items that are available at the 3 WalMarts within 60 miles. I have been traveling 120 miles to get groceries because of this. I needed some things and didn't have time to make the drive so I ordered from SS. I was shocked that they had the string cheese. although there are other types of the cheese available at the other stores, they had this kind, but it is rancid, I got severely ill after eating this, being I have a sinus issue, I couldn't smell how bad it was. This is not the first time I have had items from this WM that are spoiled. Someone needs to get it together and solve these issues. They could wind up in a law suit.
I have ordered this item a number of times in the past. When I received it today, the cheese sticks are very dense and firm - not easy to pull apart as they usually are - and have basically no taste. Whether the item was mishandled or the formula changed, I don't know. But today's experience made me cross them off my future purchase list.
These are not the same product as what is in the smaller count bags… the packaging is different on the individual sticks than what is advertised and what is on the sticks in smaller count bags. The texture is AWFUL. It does not string apart like it should. It seems denser. The taste is not the same. This product is horrible and not advertised correctly.
These were NOT the usual string cheeses that we are used to getting from Walmart. They were in different packaging, smaller, didn't taste the same, had an unusually wet surface and were just subpar from the ones I've bought in the past. I will not be purchasing them again.
