These are such an excellent value, I love these! A lot of string cheese varieties can be rubbery and tasteless, but this string cheese is flavorful and has a good texture. I always rebuy this package because why pay more? If you eat as much string cheese as I do and are considering trying this Great Value variety to conserve your food budget, I'd highly recommend giving these a try.
These String Cheese Sticks are a staple in my refrigerator. We eat them straight from the wrapper, either biting into it as chucks, or the more fun way, of gently pulling the strings straight down from the top to the bottom and eating them as "strings." I also like cutting the sticks into 2 pieces, and placing one of the pieces inside of a crescent dough triangle. Place it on the wide end, then roll the dough up around it. Bake at 350 for a delightful, cheesy snack. Yummm
This cheese makes a fun, tasty, healthy snack! Not only is the cheese good for you, it's fun to eat! I know we are not to supposed to play with our food l, but who can resist the fun with string cheese! Kids love it! I love the price! A must try!
I'm a tad obsessed with string cheese, kind of a cheese snob some would say. My husband brought the Great Value string cheese for me, %26 I decided to give it a chance. now I've tried other brands but most taste like plastic %26 non cheese. these are not only thick, they peel nicely. the taste is surprisingly on point. I compare this to its name brand rival any day. great taste, have bought many packs since. not one issue. Amazing price for how many you get. great for recipes, it's texture and melt point work wonders for quesadillas, homemade pizza, etc. excellent as a snack as well. so many great things I could go on and on. I even like how the package of each open. well done great value. Save yourselves a couple dollars and give these a try.
A nice quick snack and easy to open and peel down the plastic cover. They taste really good and were a decent price, I didn't have to slice from a block just grab and snack, they 'string' great and would be pretty cool to use in a fancy pizza top decoration. They aren't over sweet like some can be and I will be keeping them on hand as a healthy alternative to some of my previous snacks that now have me in search of diet friendly alternatives <grins> These are going to be in the list kicking some others to the curb!
I don't know why strings cheese packaging is so poorly designed. The rip tab rips off the corner but normally not down the side and all the cheeses are connected together. It is a small dumb thing but it annoys me. Taste and quality of the actual cheese is great.
My issue is with the sub-packaging. It appears that there are perfs in the plastic to allow you to tear individually wrapped sticks of cheese from a larger batch. However the perfs aren't really good and you should get into the habit of cutting apart with scissors. When the perf fails it breaks the seal on the neighboring cheese stick.
every great value packaged cheese sticks are different. different taste different wrappers different size. but theyre all called great value brand. weird. wheres the cheese comng from an why does a 12pack taste/texture differ so much from the 24 pack
Many Walnut brands are good, but there are some which are not. I will never buy the Great Value String Cheese Mozzarella again. The cheese flavor was not a good one. I happened to have one stick leftover from from another brand. After each time eating the Walmart brand and thinking each time, it was not a good flavor, I decided to do my own taste test between the two brands. No comparison, the Great Value taste was poor, in comparison.
it wasn't available for my order, so I never got them. it's sad that if it isn't on the shelf no one looks on the back storeroom where there's probably a stack of them waiting to be put on shelves. also sad is how your personal shoppers that fill the online orders get the worst and ugliest "fresh" vegetables and fruits, the coconut I got a while back was moldy inside, the lettuce was going bad already, and half the avocadoes were black inside. it's why I rarely order fresh food from you people. try harder.
