If you want an alternative to pork bacon, the Walmart Turkey Bacon is the way to go. I normally microwave my bacon to make it crispy and crunchy. Sometimes I eat it as a snack in addition to eating it for breakfast. I would highly recommend this bacon.
It's turkey bacon that's cooking here. I love this brand of Turkey bacon. It tastes so delicious. I eat it for breakfast and will be putting pieces in my salad. I love the price and hopes that Walmart maintains it this way. It's great for a snack with cheese
I've been a bacon lover for decades. My doctor said I needed to cut down on fat, so I thought I'd try this bacon -- uncured. With just a little spray on the pan, and letting these slices brown on both sides, I love the taste and texture about as much as I loved bacon, but this Turkey Bacon is a lot healthier. I'm a cook, so know that I'm picky that the bacon turns out perfectly with these instructions: 1. Place pan on stove %26 turn heat on. 2. Once starts to get hot, spray the pan w/cooking spray. I like the Great Value vegetable oil spray (or Canola spray). 3. Put a single layer of slices. 4. Let cook until the bottom of the bacon gets a golden brown. You'll know when you can see the sides start to get a little brown--then peak. 5. When golden brown, turn over. a. When the 2nd side is brown, you are done. Serve hot. If you're going to cool the bacon to use later, make sure you cool it just a little, then put it in a container/plastic bag or alum. foil so it doesn't dry out.
Let me start by saying I Love bacon. But we had 2 break up. This turkey bacon was a rebound. I was skeptical. I put a think layer of olive oil on it a airfried for 14 minutes flipping halfway thru. DELICIOUS! It's also healthier and cheaper than bacon.
This turkey bacon is honestly delicious. I grew up in a family that raised our own pork, and this is the closest turkey bacon I've had to that classic smoked flavor. It cooks up nicely, has a good texture, and doesn't taste overly processed or bland like some turkey bacon does. The smoky flavor really comes through, and the quality feels consistent from pack to pack. It's one of those products where you don't feel like you're settling just because it's not traditional bacon. My helpful tip: Cook it a little slower on medium heat so it crisps without drying out.
This turkey bacon has become a good alternative to regular pork bacon for our family. I like that it's fully cooked, lower in fat, and made without added nitrates or nitrites except those naturally occurring from celery powder and sea salt. It crisps up nicely and has a good smoky flavor without being overly greasy. I also appreciate that it contains no MSG and has simpler ingredients compared to some other turkey bacon brands. Overall, it's a convenient and healthier option to keep in the refrigerator for quick breakfasts and sandwiches.
Great value turkey bacon tastes great . I tried other brands in the past and was completely turned off with turkey bacon until I decided to give this brand a try and I have been buying this brand every since. I love them served on sandwiches, they make the most delicious BLT I ever had. I also use this in my beans to add flavor.
This is a staple in our household, and my kid prefers this over regular bacon. It cooks like regular bacon, but it doesn't produce grease to pop and burn you. While cooking I tend to add a touch/spray of oil to make it crispy. This bacon is good by itself, in salads, side dish for breakfast. It's not salty and it's just pure delicious.
This Great Value Hardwood Smoked Uncured Turkey Bacon has become a go-to in my kitchen. It cooks up nicely — especially in the air fryer or skillet — and gets that perfect crisp without drying out. The smoky flavor tastes authentic and not artificial, which I really appreciate. I like that it's a lighter alternative to regular bacon, but it still has plenty of flavor. It works great for breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, or even crumbling on salads. The 10 oz pack is a good size and lasts us several meals. If you're looking for a tasty turkey bacon that isn't bland and gives you that satisfying bacon bite, this is a solid pick. I'll definitely be grabbing it again.
The Sams Choice was great. This change has been a huge disappointment. It's slimy right out of the package and gross compared to the Sams choice version and doesnt last for anything.
