Great Value Naturally Hickory Smoked Sliced Bacon, 16 oz

For those of you like me who are single and cooking just for 1, I cut this entire package in half and then put 6 halves (3 slices), wrapped in wax paper and put in baggies and freeze. Whenever I want some bacon (I usually eat 3 pieces), I take this out, put the baggy opened in a microwave, and thaw for about 1 minute on defrost. Then, put on a paper plate on paper towels and cook in the microwave about three minutes for nice, crispy bacon. be sure to cover with a paper towel, too.

Bacon is usually delicious no matter what, unless you buy the ultra cheap that's like 99 percent fat. I like the Great Value brand, I buy several of their various bacons and like it all. It cooks up well, dont shrink away, isn't just total fat, and has a nice flavor. I use bacon probably way more than I should in recipes and always know this is a good brand. It's been years since I bought the more expensive brands.

The great value bacon is really good. I frequently buy this brand, not only has great taste but the value is phenomenal. I usually bake the bacon in the oven @350° for 25 minutes, and it comes out crispy and so so good. The quality and value is outstanding!

I was nicely surprised at the wonderful bacon taste of this Great Value bacon. I always cook 3 slices at a time in the microwave on a plate covered with paper towels to absorb the fat. And I cook 3 strips at a time until the entire package is cooked. I put all the strips into a sealable plastic bag with one paper towel inside to absorb any moisture and put the pkg in the freezer. When I want a strip of bacon, I just take one out of the bag, let it thaw a few minutes and voila! :breakfast! The only downside of this bacon is that it usually is not a "smooth" cut and more difficult to cook in a nice, neat strip. The taste more than makes up for it, however.

This bacon had 75% fat and 25% bacon. When picking out bacon for myself, I like leaner bacon. The taste was good, just way too much fat for me. BTW, I have had this brand before when I picked it out for myself. It was GREAT. Some people do not care. I do, especially for a BLT sandwich!

I have purchased this bacon longer than I can remember. I have never had any issues on quality until recently. I know the past two times the quality has been as such, that is when I started being conscious about it. It has happened enough to not be a fluke.

If bacon is on sale, there's a reason it's on sale. This stuff has a much higher fat percentage and the slices tend to be incredibly uneven. Great for a recipe where it will be cooked beforehand and won't be whole but for bacon strips, spend a little more for something that holds up and isn't mostly fat. The fat content is so high, it may make your salad greasy.

I have bought great value bacon for some time and have been pleased with the quality each time. Since I could not pick it out myself this time I wasn't pleased because it was all fat it cooked up to nothing and now I'm afraid to place it on my pick up order again.

Out of the last five purchases, three of them have been horrible quality… Two suddenly sliced not possible to pull apart without shredding into tiny pieces… Packaging looked normal, but bacon inside was horrible… Unusable going to be requesting a full refund

Here we go again Walmart. Your weight is cheating customers. Bacon is abnormally thin and full of fat. Taste sub par. Please, please give us the weight listed. It was not long ago a class action lawsuit. Enough fraud and give us what you say you are giving!!!! Worse than before lawsuit. Beware
