Great Value New York Style Rye Bread, 24 oz

I was not sure what to expect from this bread. Bought it based on reviews but I usually like a dryer, harder rye with no seeds. I was really very pleasantly surprised. This bread is delicious. It also gets a 2 claw rating from my parrot who demolished it. She loves bread but really loved this bread. I will buy again for me but also because I do not want to disappoint her. If you have a parrot, you understand.

There are times when you are happy your usual item was unavailable because you discover something new. I love rye bread, specifically Pepperidge Farms Jewish seeded Rye. But as a substitute I got Great Value New York Style Rye. it's really good! Same great Rye flavor with the seeds. It toasts beautifully. It's not the same consistency as the other, more typical loaf bread, but it's excellent in itself.

Love real, traditional rye bread with sesame seeds. This NY Rye Bread really delivers. It reminds me of Levy's %26 baker-bought rye bread from when I was a kid in NY. The slices are a good size, soft %26 with a hugh amount of sesame seeds, though they aren't really hard or intrusive. Bread is soft in texture, including the crust, with an amazing amount of flavor. Works well, from tuna, hamburger, chicken, to rye toast, to "eggs in a basket" an old NY favorite. Unlike another rye bread offered @ Wal-Mart, this rye is the correct size, not overly large width. As always, Wal-Mart delivered it on time and extremely fresh. Highly recommend.favorite.

I am easy to please the first pleasure is the price.. if you want to pick on ingredients go ahead bread is generally bread. it has the taste of rye and I like it. Serves my purpose for Swiss or any other cheese, grilled. dill pickle mustard, bacon chili peppers. yum. I have bought some rye bread that cost more than this but I still come back to Walmart's brand. The end

II use to buy the bakery rye bread, but the delivery person had to substitute my bakery rye bread for the New York rye bread with caraway seeds. Oh what a difference, this rye bread was so good and very tasty with butter or whatever you want to use on it. I have never stopped using this bread since it was substituted.

New York style Rye Bread is awesome if you love some extra wow with your bread. This style differs to the typical rye in that this includes carraway seeds which give a whole different flavor profile. Carraway is not exactly like anise or fennel seeds but you do get that hint of licorice flavor, its not too strong but its enough to wake you up in the morning, especially if you toast the rye, which I recommend because the toasting brings out the flavor and the smell is awesome! It pairs great with eggs, especially if you like yolks you can dip. And of course its a great compliment to certain deli meats like pastrami and corned beef and ham. Also some of the creamier cheeses go well, like Muenster and Havarti and a schmear of cream cheese. New York style Rye is the way to go! Its even good as a small snack with some melted butter and some European taste buds like pairing it with cottage cheese.

My fav bread -for flavor-for fiber-for calories and texture. It’s the only bread I I buy and I can only get it at Walmart! I have tried all the rye breads-in store deli and on shelves and online. No one makes a rye bread like European rye bread-but this is the one I have continued to buy since it’s the best one of all I’ve tried. Thanks, Walmart! Please keep offering it.

I mean what can I say, it's bread. You slap it on both ends of a sandwich and call it lunch, or attack it with a controlled kitchen incendiary and butter it up for toast. It tastes good, it holds together well, and it doesn't break the bank. Thumbs up.

This rye bread was a pleasant surprise. The smell is wonderful, texture is very soft. My family loved it. It might be too soft for others who are expecting the usual rye bread, but when you open the loaf, the aroma is great. There are seeds visable which we like. This will continue to be on our shopping list ans the price is very budget friendly.

The bread is good but the fact that it was out of stock and the only substitute you offer is one costing over a $1 more left me WITHOUT any bread at all. I had to reorder and make sure the order was at least $35 to get delivery without a $10 fee. Quite a scam you have going
