Great Value Omega-3 Trail Mix, 1.5 oz, 8 Count

I send this to a friend on the east coast for snacking when she works. We both LOVE the mix. I buy it in the bulk and send her the snack bags so she can share them with her family. They all love them. Quick and easy to grab. It's convenient for her and the family. I feel the bulk has a great mix of fruit and nuts. It does give me quick energy and can be filling.

We like to buy this for our son-in-law, who is an avid hiker and has a sweet-tooth (of course, his dad is a dentist!). The packs are convenient size for him, and a quick grab-n-go when he is headed out the door. And they cost less than the name-brand packs that cost two to three times more. Thank you, WalMart, for thinking of the average Joe.

These bags of trail mix are a delicious snack! Each bag is fairly large and could probably be divided into two servings.

It's great in the individual packages and the large bag. It's not real sweet. So if you diabetic like me

I would choose these great value over any name brand healthy snack !!!

The omega 3 Trail mix is good but it often has way too many almonds. Those are harder to chew than other nuts. There needs to be more walnuts instead. Also I prefer slightly smaller packets as a serving.

These small bags are full of mostly sunflower seeds. Have bought a few times and they are always full of sunflower seeds. I have started using for salad toppers.

The trail mix is okay in terms of taste and convenience, but I'm disappointed by the ingredients. For a snack marketed around omega-3s and healthy nuts, I was surprised to see so many added oils. The dried cranberries contain sunflower oil, and the mix also includes a vegetable oil blend made with peanut, cottonseed, soybean, and/or sunflower oil. The whole point of choosing a nut-based snack like this is to get the nutritional benefits of nuts and seeds. All these added oils defeat some of that purpose for me. I'd much rather see a simpler ingredient list with just nuts, seeds, and dried cranberries without the extra oils. On top of that, the trail mix leaves a weird aftertaste and an unpleasant feeling in my mouth after eating it, which makes it even less enjoyable. They're not terrible, but between the added oils and the unpleasant aftertaste, I wouldn't buy them again. I'd prefer a more natural trail mix with simpler ingredients and a fresher taste.

Unfortunately, this product was very disappointing. The taste was bad and the mix was extremely dry and hard to chew, as if it was old. Not enjoyable at all. I requested a refund and would not recommend this product.
