Great Value Organic 2% Reduced Fat Milk, Half Gallon, 64 fl oz

I am not on the only organic bandwagon. My sister and I are in our 70’s and now live together. We don’t drink milk, we use it in coffee and cooking. We buy organic milk because the expiration date is so long. Today is 6/24/2025 the milk I bought this morning has an expiration date of 8/11/2025. The milk now stays fresh until we finish it. I have even bought 2 cartons at the same time and we used it before the expiration date. This brand has a very good taste. I recommend it.

I find organic milk lasts much longer than regular off the shelf milk in the grocery store. It is my understanding when they pasturise it, that they heat the milk to higher temp for shorter amount time. Taste and texture is fine just like regular milk. Cost more but doesn't spoil in short time like regular shelf milk ,so worth the extra cost. I also keep a quart of the shelf stable tetra pack milk in the pantry as my "emergency back up milk" as I don't like taste of powdered milk. I learned to buy the shelf stable tretra pack foods decades ago in the military PX.

Organic milk is worth the cost. To have milk stay good in the fridge for six to eight weeks is well worth the extra money. I hate thinking I have milk only to realize it turned sour and now I have no milk for my tea. With organic milk in the fridge, that never happens. I always have good milk for the morning cup of tea.

What I like about this Organic milk is the fact that it last about 6 weeks in the fridge. This brand Great Value tastes better than any of the other brands I’ve tried. Since using this milk, about a year, I have not had to throw milk away. It does taste a bit different than regularly pasteurized milk but I like it.

I love the taste and that it doesn't leave a thick coating on my tongue. I especially like how long it lasts in the fridge as I am often away from home. I think it tastes better than any other milk I have ever had!😋

It tasted great. Unfortunately, it is not lactose free. Sometimes the wrong item pops up on a product search. For those who are not lactose intolerant, and want a good tasting non GMO milk, it's a very good choice. I would also love it if there was Great Value a lactose free organic milk.

First off, I much prefer Organic Valley 2% milk - it is much creamier, tastes better and lasts longer (shelf life in fridge). This is acceptable at most, but a poor copy of the preferred milk. I have been drinking Organic Valley for years now, and it is the best, no matter where I buy it. And I have purchased it in several different states, but the quality, taste and shelf life always remains excellent!

Normally when I buy organic milk it will last in the refrigerator for a long time; much longer than regular milk. But this brand didn't last very long. If fact it barely lasted longer than regular milk, which makes me wonder if it's actually organic at all! So I no longer buy it.

so, I bought this after I had to call Walmart in the middle of the night, I called the corporate office number about the milk I had ordered on the previous order. The milk I received on the previous order, I opened that evening around 9:45 p.m. CDT, tasted it, three times. it was awful and tasted like chemicals and a metallic taste. I had my roommate taste it and she said the very same thing she actually spit it out because it was so disgusting and disturbing. I was frightened that someone may get up and give this tainted milk to their baby, if it was not only my milk. there were no marks or anything that looks like something had punctured My milk, so I was betting all the milk in this batch or whatever they're called we're all tainted. I tried to call the Walmart store, I called the local number for the delivery area where they put together the deliveries for everyone, no one answered. Called the front of the store, held for a mgr, rang %26 rang, then someone picked up the phone and hung it up. So, I called the corporate number. Even your AI said that doesn't sound like something I can help you with. I spoke to Samar, he was just as worried as I was, and he told me that he was going to send me a refund on my milk, which I never got, then he put me on hold Said he was going to call a special number he has for the store, and get a hold of them and have them pull the whole stock for the 2% great value of milk. apparently he did that, said that he was going to type it all up and put it in a report. and told me that the great value organic milk was not made in the same location. so for my most recent order I ordered the organic Great Value milk 2%. I can tell you it does not taste like chemicals or metal, but that it doesn't taste like milk either. I suppose I will find another brand I can taste.

The organic 2% milk was 12 days past the sell by date and was swollen to the point of exploding on opening. This was delivered , which the person picking up the merchandise should’ve looked at the dates, but Walmart obviously is not circulating and getting rid of items that are past the due date. There’s no excuse for this and it’s the second time this has happened the last one was an item that was reduced for quick sale when I didn’t ask for that..
