THIS Great Value Organic Ground Cold Milled Flax Seed is GREAT! There are SO MANY recipes you can use this in! And in my personal opinion, it is very healthy! I want to give you a recipe with this flax seed in it that is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! So, I call this recipe YUMMY IN THE TUMMY FLAX SEED MUFFINS! Here it is: 1/8 cup Ground Flax Seed, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 2 tsp. sugar substitute, 1 egg, (Beaten) 1 tsp butter or margarine (melted) 1 Tbs. any kind of fruit or died fruit. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, melt butter, add 1 egg to the melted butter or margarine, and beat the egg well, add this mixture to the dry ingredients, add in fruit that is chopped, spray a coffee mug with spray oil, pour in the muffin mixture and microwave for 1 minute exactly. Turn the mug upside down and shake out the muffin onto a plate and serve with a slab of butter or margarine and some sugar free syrup or drizzle it with honey.
Delicious and nutritious! I really like this ground flax seed from Great Value, it says it's from Canada and I thought the tariff situation would make it too expensive but it's really not and I have long been a fan of flax seed for omega 3 and good health. Delicious!
As I change to healthy eating, I am always so afraid of sacrificing taste. Luckily this ground flax seed has a mild taste and can be incorporated into many meals without changing the flavor. I used it to replace mayo in my salad dressing and it worked well as a thickener. I will try it in my hot cereal next to see how it fairs. But so far I like it.
I always use this for my diet smoothies! It is very healthy and adds a nice boost. I like to sprinkle a spoonful on my breakfast. It goes great mixed in with yogurt and fresh Fruit. Because it is ground, it gives a soft, slightly nutty Texture to whatever you mix it into. It's a great product that I buy again for sure.
according to my doctor / dietitian this stuff is adding exactly what I need to my morning meal to start my day off right I can't speak for its taste because I sprinkle it on my oatmeal and I can't taste it I guess that means it's good one tablespoon on my cup of hot oatmeal and according to my doctor / dietitian I'm good to go for the rest of the day
I love this flax seed as it gives me the perfect boost. I sprinkle it into my oatmeal balls and the kids even love the taste. It is ground so finely that it blends perfectly with everything.
Cold organic ground flaxseed is a regular part of my daily baking. It's nice to find a healthy organic product at Walmart for a good value. I recommend storing it in the fridge. It's not necessary, but it keeps it fresher longer.
I have yet to have any issues with consistency in buying the great value organic flaxseeds. You do need to be very careful and use these sparingly because they do provide a lot of fiber. So they definitely work if you need to add some fiber to your diet and they add a bit of a nutty taste but it's not overpowering.
I personally use this product to mix into certain yogurts, protein shakes, fruit smoothies, and sparingly in some baking. I never had a consistency issue, between the blender/hand mixer this flax seed has always mixed smoothly. It's a great source of fiber and lignans, but it also provides about 3 grams of omega-3s which is often overlooked. The great value price compared to other brands is a bit better and the packaging it comes in has always re-sealed with no issues so far.
PRODUCT OF INDIA PURCHASED TODAY MAR 29TH 2925 EXP 10/2025 Now, these facts are not given when shopping online like iherb.com would provide. So, who from the USDA is inspecting organic foods in India, Eh? DId Walmart just buy the USDA logo %26 stamp?
