Walmart brand Crescent Rolls taste better than Pillsbury. So much cheaper in price and delicious with every bite. We make pizza rolls with them and also pig n a blanket. Can use as a regular roll with any meal too. Soft, delicious and fills your tummy up. Great on winter nights or summer. Easy and quick to bake.
I wanted these crescent rolls because I wanted to have a starch with my dinner meals. The crescent rolls did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I ate all the crescent rolls in one day. They are that good. The crescent rolls are buttery. The crescent rolls have a fluffiness. The crescent rolls can be used as a breakfast item, dessert, or snack. I did not burn the rolls either. So, I made the decision to eat the crescent rolls as appetizers for my dinner. The warm buttery smell of bread dough cooking fills the dining room, and the crescent rolls become hard to resist when fresh out the oven. Thank you, Walmart.
We have used these for a number of years to save on our budget. In all honesty, as one who loves a version of bread with my meal, there is no difference between the Walmart %26 name brand versions. We find them light, a bit flaky, %26 very delicious. I highly recommend giving these a try.
This is a no brainer. Just as good as name brand. I live to roll them out, spread butter on the inside, then spread lots of sugar and cinnamon. Pour. apple pie filling(OR,) Glory fried apples over that. Roll it up (carefully), spread a thin layer of butter on the tart and put cinnamon %26 sugar on that and cook however much baking time for the rolls, Put it on a dish and slice it like a cinnamon roll. Put a little more butter and cinnamon %26 sugar bake another 5 minutes . Looks and tastes good!
Bought these instead of the big name brand that starts with a "P" and I found them to be just as good as the big name brand. I used them to make a sopapilla cheesecake, and let me tell you, it was fabulous! Here, let me share it, it's not my recipe, it's one I found online but it too good to keep to myself, so here ya go, YOU'RE WELCOME! Sopapilla Cheesecake 1¼ cups granulated sugar, divided 1 tsp ground cinnamon (2) 8 oz. packages cream cheese, softened 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla extract (2) 8 oz. tubes refrigerated seamless crescent roll sheets, (see note) 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted ¼ cup honey Instructions Preheat an oven to 350°F. Coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 of the sugar with the cinnamon. Set aside. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl if necessary. Add in the remaining 1 cup of the sugar, the egg, and vanilla; beat to combine. Set aside. Unroll the tubes of crescent roll dough sheets; gently press one of them into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. (If using perforated crescent roll dough, pinch the seams together to seal completely.) Using a spatula, evenly spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the dough, then cover with the other roll of crescent dough. Brush the top all over with the melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture all over to cover. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the crescent dough has puffed and turned golden brown, and bars appear set when gently shaken. Remove from oven and drizzle evenly with the honey. Cool for at least 1 hour in the pan. I usually chill it overnight (which makes slicing it way easier), and then bring to room temperature (or rewarm) before cutting into 12 bars. But you can enjoy it warm or cold. So good!
I used these Great Value crescent rolls to make pigs in a blanket. They were fine. These rolls seem slightly too sweet and don't get as golden as name brand crescent rolls. The fluffiness is comparable to name brand and perhaps they would be better as a dessert crescent roll with a little Nutella before rolling and baking due to the sweetness of the bread.
Almost impossible to open the container. I finally ended up cutting the ends out, because the outer layer won't peal away to allow the container to be opened. The crescent rolls are very small. Just buy the Pillsbury and skip the aggravation. This was NOT a "great value".
After I put my groceries away (these two items went in the fridge right away), I heard a strange noise and thought nothing of it. I pull out a can of crescent rolls this morning to make breakfast and one end had burst open after I put it in the fridge and I had to throw it away!
when I went to use them, there was a black spot in the dough. I had to toss them out because I did not know what what it was. The experation date was/is February 12th 2026. Today's date is January 11th 2026. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. Never will I buy this brand again.
I had to throw away the crescent rolls due to difficulty opening and it looks as if the bottom was soaked in something. I just picked them up. I will not purchase again. I had to use a knife to try to open the container however I didn't feel comfortable to utilize them.
