These English muffins exceed the nationally advertised brand of "fork split" English muffins by a huge margin. They are uniform in size and when opened up to toast, "fork split", are easy to open and provide two pieces of the same size (the national brand's top is much smaller that the bottom when opened). I use them to make a sausage, egg and cheese muffin each morning. The taste, texture, uniformity and freshness of the muffins, is excellent. The much lower price makes them perfect.
I grabbed these Great Value English muffins to make my mornings less chaotic, and honestly, they’ve become the unsung heroes of my kitchen. They toast up perfectly—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and since they’re fork-split, I don’t have to perform surgery on them with a knife at 6 a.m. My half-awake brain appreciates the assist. I also used them for meal prepping breakfast sandwiches, and that’s where they really shine. I made a whole assembly line: ham–egg–cheese, bacon–egg–mushroom–cheese, and sausage–egg–cheese. These things held up like champs. I cooked them, assembled them, froze them, reheated them… and they still tasted great. Honestly, if these muffins can survive my freezer and microwave routine, they can survive anything. They’re affordable, reliable, and they let me pretend I’ve got my life together every time I pull a perfectly reheated breakfast sandwich out of the freezer. For that alone, they deserve five stars.
I LOVE these English muffins. They are handy to keep around for a quick breakfast. Put them in the toaster, slather them up with peanut butter or macadamia butter, enjoy them with a cup of coffee and some yogurt--breakfast is served! I really appreciate that they are already sliced. Will certainly be keeping these on hand!
Love these Great Value English muffins. They are very dense (similar to Thomas’ sourdough texture but better) as opposed to the Thomas’ where they’re very thin and crumbly. The great value brand doesn’t have a ton of flavor similar to Thomas’ brand but then again you don’t usually taste the English muffin when you put flavored cream cheese on it. They also don’t have all of the annoying cornmeal “dust” on the bottom like the Thomas’ English muffins do… I hate that stuff because it gets everywhere. These toast up beautifully and are the same size if not slightly larger than Thomas’ brand. Will definitely continue buying these.
I bought these because they said fork split. No they weren't. broke all over the place. I couldn't even toast 2 of them. the ones that were toastable had broken ends and crumbles. I will say after they were toasted they tasted good but being only able to eat 2 and 1/2 out of the package was ridiculous. Make them a little cheaper and don't advertise them as fork split so people know to slice them with a knife. I used to buy a bag of ten from them that I just sliced and they toasted well and tasted great. What happened to them?
The English Muffin was hard with the lack of gas holes to lightening like real English Muffins. Apparently, this formula was changed and altered to produce this shrunken hard glob into what is supposed to be an English Muffin. Great Value has messed up the ingredients by substituting or eliminating something. Not good at all. Thank you for your consideration to this as i will not be buying this product again.
I am very upset! Why did they call these “fork split” muffins? They’re not already split! I’m sure that most people purchasing muffins and see the word “split” would think they don’t have to do the hard work of splitting them themselves. It’s false advertising, Walmart! I did NOT buy these to have to split them myself. That increases production time for breakfast. As someone on the spectrum with ADHD, I need the muffins to be split. And if they say that they are split on the package, they very well had better be split in real life. I’m VERY disgusted and annoyed. And from now on, I will buy my English muffins from the competitor where I know that they are actually split.
Decent item but has gone up 62¢ in just a few months. My grocery orders have almost doubled. Stop price gouging us Walmart! They’re not even brand name or foreign made products. If you’re near an H‑E‑B they’re a lot cheaper there. As a matter of fact, prices have gone up so much at Walmart, it’s cheaper to buy everything at your local store, even with Walmart plus. The price is no longer worth the convenience of having it delivered. Do better Walmart, we have to feed our kids.
I ordered 3pks on 8/8/25 and I received them and I wanted to make breakfast sandwiches one morning and I open one of the packs and they are all green (molded) then I check the other 2pks also and they were molded also. the little white expiration tags say 08/01/25 use by. then when I try and do a "hassle free" refund on my account they want me to call in and then return to store. I pay for delivery service to my house because I don't drive and have no way to return items. I'm very disappointed with this last order.
If i could give a big fat zero for this order I would. I made this order on 5/1, it is now 5/7, I opened the pack of muffins and they were molded!!!!! Your shopper need tobpay more attention to expiration dates!!!! the rest of the items in the order wer in good shape and not expired.
