This is my favorite cheese for topping veggies or making hot sandwiches, heat hot and spicy hot. I buy this, and other cheese, in small size to acomodate my arthritic hands. Cutting, cubing and shredding are much easier for me with small packaging.
Nothing to complain about. Compare cost per ounce to other cheeses, this is probably more expensive but for a snack it's the right size. I prefer the pepper jack to the rest, but the others are good too. No complaints, which is a rare thing for me, lol.
It's changed for the better. I stopped buying this cheese because it wasn't spicy, barely had any spices or flavor in it. I decided to try it again and WoW!! Big difference- lot more jalapeños, very spicy which is what I expect in Pepper Jack cheese. I hope it stays this way!
I get a lot of Walmart pick ups, check my records, I've been doing it since before Covid !!i Today. I was not happy. I got a thing of spring mix, baby spinach that's dated tomorrow. I got chicken that's dated Sunday which I guess I don't care, but it had so much liquid in it. It was leaking all over the place my bags were a mess.
It's always tasty. Every year for xmas, I make a sausage and cheese platter. two kinds of crackers, 2 kinds of cheeseballs, 2 different block cheeses, and a ton of meat. The block cheeses are always GV pepperjack and sharp cheddar!! Never disappoints.
Great taste, spicy but not too spicy. Grated, mix it with ground chicken, powdered onion, garlic, an egg and some bread crumbs, bake it for a really nice, lightly spicy snack or form into patty and put between hamburger bun for a spicy chicken sandwich. A little blue cheese or ranch dressing on top wouldn't hurt either.
This is the one treat I get myself every grocery day. It's my guilty indulgence. I just love this cheese. If you haven't tried it yet go ahead and give it a try. I think it's going to become your guilty indulgence as well.
Something has changed with the texture of the Great Value Pepper Jack Cheese. Have bought and enjoyed for years. Normally buy the 8 ounce size, but a couple of weeks ago I bought the 16 ounce size. The cheese was spongy and reminded me more of a block of cream cheese. It was edible, but not cheese. This past week I went back to the 8 ounce size hoping the others was a fluke. Nope, same texture. I won't buy again and will search other brands for pepper jack cheese, even if the price is higher.
My husband likes the base cheese, so he wanted to order it again. HOWEVER, the last two times, seriously there was ONE and THREE flecks of PEPPER in the bar. Pepperjack, not so much.
You sent to cheese, that I did not order, plus last week I received cat food that I didn't order either. And they didn't ask me if I wanted a substitute.
