Great Value Peppermint Starlight Mints Hard Candy, 60 oz

I think I may have a slight obsession with this bag specifically. I've always liked the peppermint starlights but all brands don't taste as good. Even the smaller great value bag isn't as good. This big Value Sized bag is the perfect recipe for these. Since CVS discontinued making them them it's been so hard to find a similar mint. This one is the ONE. This bag size only though.

Grandma purse energy… in the best way. Classic peppermint, super strong, and will absolutely clear your sinuses and your bad decisions. These last forever, so one mint turns into a full commitment. Great for after meals, in the car, or when you just need your mouth to feel aggressively fresh. The value size is serious because this bag will outlive most things in your pantry. Simple, nostalgic, and gets the job done every time.

I received all my items ordered except one that was out of stock. My last delivery, the man did not use freezer bags and some of my items were thawed. The lady who delivered my items today was great! She had put all the freezer items in a cold storage bag.

The have a smooth flavor, not too sharp. The fact that they do use peppermint oil in the making of them is the main reason I purchase this brand. I like to have these mints when I'm reading at night, and I always keep some in my purse for when driving, or out shopping. They soothe the dryness in my mouth. The flavor is fresh and clean. I've been buying them for years and will continue to do so.

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few pieces were a little crumbly or broken, which happens with hard candy in a big bag. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note. Overall, a great budget-friendly option if you like classic peppermint mints.

Its not that it is lacking Peppermint flavor, but the flavor its like a medicine or chemically tatse. Something changed on these, Ive had in the past and dont recall this chemically aftertaste (especially if bite into them) I would not recommend these, instaed I found Brach's peppermint disc to be more true to flavor without that medince/chemically sting

Worst peppermints I ever got a hold of. They had a terrible off taste. After trying 5 of them, from different places in the bag,, I'm going to throw the bag in the garbage. A total waste of money. I buy peppermints to put at my church. I usually buy Brachs brandbut they were out of stock.

I have been buying these for years and they have always been delicious. Something changes, the packaging is different and the mint is so strong it impossible to eat an entire one. I will never buy then again. Even the shape is different, the edges are squared iff not tapered like the old ones. definitely not worth the money!
