The have a smooth flavor, not too sharp. The fact that they do use peppermint oil in the making of them is the main reason I purchase this brand. I like to have these mints when I'm reading at night, and I always keep some in my purse for when driving, or out shopping. They soothe the dryness in my mouth. The flavor is fresh and clean. I've been buying them for years and will continue to do so.

Baby when I say i didnt know what to get all my young family members in my family this was the perfect gift I gave out for Christmas got them on Black Friday only 10 dollars so I purchased like 10 of them and yes it was a great gift who can t use headphones now day specially wireless the was my these young kids say on the phone ok than period recommended recommending

Great for after meals, in the car, or when you just need your mouth to feel aggressively fresh. The value size is serious because this bag will outlive most things in your pantry. Simple, nostalgic, and gets the job done every time.

I picked up the Great Value Peppermint Starlight Mints in the big 60 oz bag, and overall I'm really happy with them. The flavor is that classic, refreshing peppermint you expect—strong enough to freshen your breath but not overpowering. They're perfect to keep in a candy dish, the car, or just grab a couple after meals. The size of the bag is definitely a plus. You get a ton of mints for the price, so it lasts a long time and is great for sharing. Most of the candies were fresh and had a nice firm texture. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few pieces were a little crumbly or broken, which happens with hard candy in a big bag. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note. Overall, a great budget-friendly option if you like classic peppermint mints.

Its not that it is lacking Peppermint flavor, but the flavor its like a medicine or chemically tatse. Something changed on these, Ive had in the past and dont recall this chemically aftertaste (especially if bite into them) I would not recommend these, instaed I found Brach's peppermint disc to be more true to flavor without that medince/chemically sting

I have been buying these peppermints for years and have loved them. Why oh why did Great Value change them? As many others have said, the taste is just weird and medicine like. the packaging and design is also different. I really hope they bring back the old ones! :(

they are opened I will not eat them to taste them or anything like that to evaluate in any way shape or form because as far as I'm concerned they're contaminated they should have never been delivered to us opened. they should have been double check triple check quadruple checked to make sure they weren't open.. this is not good shoppers delivers and everybody that is involved should double check or triple check to make sure all items are sealed... this could be life-threatening to the customer.. please be more careful Thank you and God bless

I loved the “original” Great Value Starlight Peppermints, which were solid all the way through and easy on the mouth and tongue and last longer. The “new version” are full of air and are more like Brach's, which get sharp edges as they melt and melt faster and crumble. Very disappointed in the change..

Sadly, these are BY FAR the worst peppermint candies I've EVER eaten..and I'm OLD! The ingredients sound normal, but there is an odd taste I can't even describe. This is my only 1 star review EVER I disliked these so much. I buy Walmart brand other items and have not found them to be substandard. Could just be me? Im donating to the clubhouse to see if anyone eats them.
