Good product, poor packaging and delivery
The beans themselves appear to be fine so far. I've bought GV dried pinto beans in smaller package sizes before, and the beans cook up just fine. I use them in all kinds of things. I have a problem this time with the fact that this was a shipping order. The picker just slapped the GMB label on the bag of beans. They did not put the beans in a plastic bag. It was raining today. The delivery person placed the beans on a wet part of my porch, when there was plenty of DRY space in front of and to one side of my door. The bag has several tiny holes, so I can only hope that no moisture got inside to cause the beans to mold. I'll have to make room in my freezer to be on the safe side and from now on try to make sure I do not order anything for shipping if rain is predicted.
