Let’s be real. Is this crust going to rival your slow-fermented, hand-tossed, flour-dusted-from-scratch masterpiece? No. Is homemade infinitely better? Absolutely. But here’s the thing — sometimes you don’t have the time, the yeast patience, or the emotional bandwidth to babysit dough. Sometimes you need pizza ready in two shakes of a rabbit’s rear. And that’s where this crust steps in. It unrolls easily, no drama, no flour explosions. Top it with sauce, scatter those tomatoes, pile on peppers, cheese, whatever your heart desires, and boom — into the oven it goes. Now let’s address the texture. There is a… complete lack of crunchy. If you’re expecting artisan brick-oven crisp? Adjust expectations. It bakes up soft, bread-like, and serviceable. Not offensive. Not transcendent. Just… fine. That said, slice it up and it absolutely delivers edible, respectable pizza slices in record time. And sometimes that speed is worth more than culinary perfection. It makes pizza night possible when otherwise it wouldn’t happen at all. And that counts. Pros: • Fast • Convenient • No dough stress • Reliable shape Cons: • Not crispy • Won’t win awards Final verdict: Meh? Yes. Useful? Also yes. Would I use it when life is chaotic and the family wants pizza immediately? Absolutely. Because sometimes “good enough and ready fast” beats “amazing but not happening.”
It's a pastry-type crust with a little bit of sweetness to it. It comes rolled in a rectangle, perfect for pan pizza, so if you want a round pizza, have a rolling pin handy. While I prefer my crust on the savory side, I still enjoyed this. I only wish it was as affordable as their competitor's.
I buy this when making my "little Caesars crazy bread"...it works great and is dang near close to crazy bread as you can get...open this up flat and on the short end, use a pizza slicer to cut 1 inch strips. in a microwave safe bowl,.melt butter with garlic powder and brush over the strips...bake at 450 for 6-8 minutes. once you remove them pour parm cheese powder on them( the kind you shake on spaghetti)..
This pizza dough was great! I was able to stretch it easily (and with no breaks) on my pizza pan. I used delicious Walmart pizza sauce, pepperoni, italian sausage, onions and green peppers with lots of mozzarella cheese and I had a pizza better than any frozen pizza and cheeper than ordering a Supreme Pizza!!!
These crust makes cooking easier and can be used for other things such as cheesy bread or cinnamon rolls or cinnamon sticks. Paying attention while cooking lets you get the desired crust. The size pan you use lets you decide which crust you want thick , thin or hand tossed.
Didn’t enjoy this as a pizza, but the dough was amazing as quick and easy breadsticks. Topped with garlic powder, cut into strips, (optional, twist dough strip once) bake and butter while warm. Made a lot and everyone raved.
If you try this pizza dough once you will buy it again and again. That's wonderful texture and flavor cooks up so beautifully and makes your pizza heavenly. It's our go to on Friday nights and we've tried pizza dough from everywhere but Walmart's Pizza dough excellent for our household and yours.
This is a pretty good premade pizza crust. I do pre bake it on a cookie sheet greased with olive oil for 8 min...BEFORE putting the sauce and toppings on then bake for another 10 or so. I found putting the sauce on right at the start can leave the center soggy and the edges too well done for my liking. sometimes (depending on the sauce and toppings) I will sprinkle a light dusting of cornmeal in the olive oil and it makes for a really crappy toasted crust and is wonderful with a cheese only pizza. I Have also used this one as a spinach dip filled Christmas tree bake and it was really good! easy to search for the recipe and it is a nice pull apart holiday dish that tastes great and looks festive on the snacking table!
I typically make homemade pizza dough. Purchased this dough to make a taco Stromboli. It was fresh, easy to roll out and tasted good. I have already purchased another tube for an easy meal. Have purchased a name brand so can't compare. The great value was less expensive and I was pleased with the taste.
Over time I bought 3 of these. The first time it was great, no issues. Can 2 exploded in the refrigerator, the entire dough was hanging off the can. Can 3 was good for a couple days, but when I looked in the fridge this morning, Exploded. I know it wasn’t expensive but cost is only part of it. My family were happy thinking about calzones but now it’s not happening. Be cautious buying it.
