Great Value Plastic Wrap, Clear, 200 sq ft

I am picky with most things I choose to buy. Is this the very best cling wrap I've ever used? No. Is it in my top 3 picks? Yes! For the price, this is the best I have found and I'm happy with it. I've purchased it many times and I will again. The 5 star rating I gave is in comparison to other brands in the same price range, I am not including significantly higher price points and performance markers, that is not level. Even though the box has changed and the cutting edge is on the lid--I still find this plastic wrap works better than the more expensive brands. I have no major problem with the box/edge change--the wrap is what I go for and still easy to use. The wrap clings very well to just about anything one may want to wrap. Great product for the price compared to others. However-- Myself like others would prefer the original box and cutting edge as use to be. C'Mon Walmart bring it back :)--surely would make lots of consumers happy and you know you want to keep us happy--Right??

The wrap is not bad, probably as good or better than most. Getting it off the roll in a usable condition is, at times , impossible. This is the most frustrating product I can think of. My wife just stopped me from throwing away a new box. If I use it again with the same results, it's gone

This has been the only plastic wrap that I would use, for as long as I can recall. The best clinging, sturdiest box, and sharpest cutting tool. Now that the quality of the box and the plastic have changed, there is no reason to purchase, and I will not spend any more money on this formerly superior, but now INFERIOR product.

This plastic wrap has changed in quality for the worse: It is much thinner, it cannot be stretched without tearing, and now it has a strong "plastic like" smell. I have been using this product more than a decade, but since the quality is lowered significantly I will stay away from buying this product.

I have used Great Value clear plastic wrap for years and swear by it. Nothing has ever come close. I don't know what you did to the wrap when you changed the box but it is the worse plastic wrap I have ever used. I got through one box thinking it was the end of a lot or something and bought another box. I think this one is even worse if that's at all possible. It's heavy and doesn't cling to anything. I use to run to Walmart just to buy this product but that won't be happening again.

This product has always been just fine for us until Walmart changed the box. Instead of having the sharp edge for tearing the plastic wrap at the bottom of the box, it is now on the lid, which makes tearing difficult because when you put pressure on the lid to pull it, the lid moves up, so it's quite difficult to tear, whereas before it was not even an issue. I'm disappointed in the re-designed box.

For the past few years I have gone out of my way to buy this plastic wrap, it is more durable than most other wraps and I am able to stretch it around my pies and baked goods when I make them. Since the box has changed, I have to fight to 'cut' the plastic wrap, and after one of two times of 'fighting' with the box to get it to cut - it is falling apart! In every other way this wrap is spectacular - but worthless unless it has a box #and cutter# that allows me to actually USE it!

This used to be the best cling wrap available. No more! The box is the absolute worst! It used to come in a heavy duty box with a great metal serrated edge, which worked very well. The price was right but the product was exceptional. Now the quality of the product has been overshadowed by an abysmal box design. The box is cardboard, about the weight and sturdiness of a cereal box and there is no longer a fixed metal serrated edge to cut the cling wrap. The edge of the lid has a cheap plastic cutter which is very nearly worthless. Don't waste your money on this product. I won't buy Great Value cling wrap again unless Walmart brings back the original box.

If I could give this less than 1 star, I would! This is the worst idea ever to have changed the cutter edge on the plastic wrap!!!! I'm not wasting my money on this again.
