I recently picked up the Great Value Pre-Sliced Plain Bagels from Walmart, and overall, I'm pretty pleased. The bagels are soft on the inside with a slightly chewy texture on the outside, which makes them great for toasting. I like that they come pre-sliced—it's super convenient, especially for busy mornings. They're not overly sweet, which I appreciate, and pair well with both cream cheese and savory toppings. The packaging keeps them fresh for a decent amount of time, though I'd recommend eating them within a few days or freezing extras to keep them soft. For the price, these bagels are a solid choice if you want something quick, tasty, and hassle-free. I'll definitely be buying them again!
I'm always looking for a reliable bagel that doesn't break the bank, and these are a winner. They have a great chew to them. Not too tough, but not like plain bread either. Since they're already pre-sliced, it makes my morning routine so much faster. They toast up perfectly golden with a soft inside that holds cream cheese really well without getting soggy. Honestly, for the price and the quality, I don't see any reason to buy the more expensive name brands. These are a permanent fixture in my grocery cart now!
I love Walmart's bagels more than brand bagels. They are always fresh and taste exactly as a bagel should; soft center and firm exterior that crispes up beautifully in the toaster. These are a staple in our home. The great price is an extra bonus.
Whatever company Walmart uses to slice these bagels needs to learn how to do it. The bagels themselves are fine but in most cases t hey are sliced with one side very very thin and obviously the other side barely fits in the toaster. please check on this. It doesn't occur on the other company bagels advertised as sliced. Thank you,
The bagles are fine but come in the bag like nobody cares. They are cut so unevenly, real thin on 1 side fat on the other. Shaped like someone just squeezed them and tossed them to the pan like , " Hey it's just a Walmart product who gives a crap. " Well that is the way Walmart treats it's stuff and customers anymore. It's bread, drop the price treat your customers right anyway.
The "pre-sliced" is so far off center it's not funny. You get a really thick half with a REALLY skinny half. I'm going back to Sara Lee for my bagels.
They are so poorly sliced that one half gets stuck in the toaster and they are kind of dry, sometimes tough, though they taste okay. I'm tired of trying to recut them more equally to fit better in the toaster. It is very frustrating. I suppose I will have to pay double for a better brand next time.
product would be great if only every other bagel wasnt cut poorly. Figure out how to cut them evenly. Why is it so hard? You got everything right except the easiest part thats great value for ya.
They're healthy and delicious BUT the manufacturer should sharpen their production knives to actually PRE-SLICE as description says, they're never sliced to easily open before ripping one ring apart and then getting messed up, caught, burnt etc. In the toaster.
These are without a doubt the worst bagels I have ever eaten and would never recommend ... dry and gross. Go with Thomas ... you get what you pay for on this item for sure.
