These had been freshly made because they were nice. They were soft. They were absolutely delicious. Usually they're a little crunchy but made a couple days prior but the two boxes that I bought hadn't been made that day because they were absolutely fantastic.
My husband is very picky when it comes to meatballs, but so far this has been one of his noncompete meatballs, especially for bringing great value products. It is so good and provides so much that we usually have leftover in the bag from our family night.
These are a great thing to have around I think as it doesn't take that long to heat them up %26 dip them into BBQ sauce, catsup, mustard [yellow or brown], yum! Even the younger ones want to be involved with 'Grandpa's %26 Grandma's tasting party' [you know, they will at least try 'it' with us, because we are asking them %26 not their parent's... Children never change as their parents were the same way when they were their age too, ha, ha! They have to try at least a tablespoon of something, before they can say they do not like it BECAUSE 'it came out of Jesus' garden' AND we do not want to hurt His feeling's, but eat what He has grown for us AND 9 times out of 10 they do try whatever it is, not because of us but because they do not want to hurt Jesus' feelings... TRY IT ON YOUR GRANDCHILDREN and see what happens...:}
The taste and texture of these are very good. They are easily prepared in the air fryer. They don't really have a sauce on them, rather they are seasoned well. The only thing that I would appreciate is if they were a little bigger. They're small. I cook 6 to 8 at a time. Would be less if they were bigger. They are a very good tasting and easy to prepare source of protein.
I bought these due to all the great reviews. I don't see anything more special about these than the others. They cost more, and are bland. Most meatballs are used in a sauce once purchased, so why not use a more affordable one. These are just average.
I normally get the Walmart Great value homestyle brand in the blue bag.. This one was offered as a substitution and I thought surely it's going to be just as good. It's nowhere in comparison to the same size and it's the exact same price. homestyle bag is 32 oz for a little over $7 and this bag is 18 oz for the same price. No comparison and way smaller
I bought the “Angus” meatballs hoping for a richer flavor and better quality. But honestly? They taste exactly like the regular Great Value meatballs, no noticeable difference. For the price, the bag also seemed nearly empty compared to the family-size regular meatballs which is same value. If you just want a quick, budget-friendly meatball for spaghetti or sandwiches, go for the regular family-size. You get more quantity and the same flavor. Paying more for the “Angus” label isn't worth it in my opinion.
Made these in tiny crockpot for guests at my party. Every time I stirred them to make sure the sauce was evenly dispersed, they broke apart…I had a crockpot of ground beef.
This is my first food review but I felt people need to know. Do not buy these. They were so salty! My whole family thought so and it ruined dinner. Also for $10 the portion was small. Just buy the regular meatballs, don't splurge these. It's not worth a ruined meal.
I should have paid close attention to the size. No way would I have paid $7 for this tiny bag. it's enough for one person and I was expecting a close to family size bag. Now I'm left scrambling for dinner for a family of 3. This price for gv tiny meal is wild. it isn't even that good.
