YUM! 😁 Great Value premium shells and cheese microwave cups have exceptional flavor, a lot of cheese, and is super easy to prepare! Just a few minutes to cook in the microwave, making this an affordable, flavorful choice for a hot lunch at work. I have also mixed in warmed up Great Value canned tuna and the combination is so delicious! Would also be great with Great Value ham steak.
I'm the only one I cook for regularly who likes mac and cheese, so I rarely have any. Unlike other people I know, I can't eat a box in one or two settings. So these cups are handy and easy to prepare and replace the fries for my meal that the others are having. And, while ai gave it 4 stars for the taste, I do think it is very good for that type of mac and cheese. The other reason is that I would like just a tad more.
We have been purchasing these Mac bowls for quite a while. When the packaging was plastic, there was never an issue. Now that the bowls are paper, they're AWFUL. The pasta sticks to the paper while cooking, regardless of how well it's stirred beforehand. The tops are not sealed so the product could easily be contaminated. My most recent purchase really took the cake when I opened the outer packaging, only to have an entire bowl of Mac and cornstarch dump all over my kitchen floor because it wasn't sealed. Upon further inspection, the ENTIRE package, all four bowls, were not sealed. This is pathetic. Either get back to the correct packaging or change it to cook in my own bowl and decrease the price to match!
Bowls were not sealed so two of them spilled out. Instead of saving a few pennies on 4 servings I ended up paying a lot more for 2 and throwing the other two away. Simple and easy shouldn't come with extra chores but these things went everywhere. I'm sticking with Velveeta.
They have repackaged. the (great value)shells %26 cheese from plastic cups to cardboard. When you heat the cup of noodles. the cardboard cup, starts to fall apart. when I went to take it out, the hot noodles fell out the bottom %26 spilled all over my feet. Used to like this item-quick serving size. I will not buy the great value brand again. Not a good change. Although it spilled on me %26 I got burned, I'm thankful it didnt burn my kids.
Tastes like standard Kraft easy mac, not Velveeta. I had hoped the sauce packet meant it would be a cheaper alternative to the Velveeta. I don't like the Kraft kind. The plant-fiber cups (instead of plastic) are a nice idea, but the first one I used had a thin spot that made a hole while in the microwave, right at the water level line. Just really disappointing all around.
Why would they change the bowls from plastic to these paper/cardboard bowls? I get to save the environment but 3 out of 4 of my bowls were completely crushed and spilled open. And this is the second time I bought them because the first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and blamed it on the delivery of the product. They seriously need to rethink the bowls, this was a waste of money.
The noodles were soggy and had this gray tint 🤢 that just did not look good to eat. The cheese sauce was delicious as expected though so I ate that by itself. If the noodles weren't like that then the price would be awesome. A bigger portion would be a nice option, too.
low review due to packaging. ever since new packaging used cardboard cup item is not sealed and I have had to return several back to store. also taste has changed due to packaging. my child is special needs and only eats certain things this being one of them and she will ni longer eat it now limiting her food now... when heading noodles even stick to cardboard cup and they leak and ate top hot to touch when heated. poor choice to change packaging!!!!!
They have Begun making this in the paper container and it turns out horribly most of the time the shells are mushy and it is disgusting and the only reason you eat it is so that your money isn't completely wasted. The macaroni that comes in the small plastic container cooks up perfectly almost every time while this one with the paper container only cooks up probably 2 out of 10 times. That is a terrible low percentage from The Times that I have used it and I will not be forcing it again if this is not get fixed.
