Great Value Pure Granulated Sugar is a versatile baking ingredient suitable for a wide range of culinary applications. This 10-pound bag of pure granulated sugar is ideal for sweetening baked goods, beverages, and various recipes. The sugar is refined and processed to ensure a consistent, fine texture, making it a reliable choice for home bakers and cooks.
Granulated sugar is a staple ingredient in most households, and the price typically remains relatively stable throughout the year. However, consumers may find occasional discounts or sales, especially during the holiday baking season or when retailers offer promotions on baking supplies. It is advisable to monitor pricing and stock up when the product is available at a favorable price point.
If you are looking for a paper towel that absorbs and does not tear and will not cost an arm and a leg this is the paper towel for you. I am a fan of Bounty, and this comes really close for a lot less. I was happily surprised at how well this works. I would tell anyone to try it for themselves and see how well it works.
During the summer i must admit i prepare lots of ice tea mix, kool aid, etc. which i keep on the top shelf of my fridge. being sure to add ice so it will melt making it all colder. this size container seems to last longer. just keep lots of cool stuff to drink.
I need sugar, and GV granulated sugar saves me money. IMHO all sugar tastes exactly the same, whatever the brand name. So if it can save me money, and it tastes and works the same, I'm buying it. Thank you Walmart for providing a lower cost option.
I like to buy my sugar at my local Walmart store. i make lots of sweet tea, therefore I need lots of sugar. The value of the 10 lb bag of sugar is the best buy for me since i know for sure that I am going to use it all Thanks Walmart for helping me save every penny possible with your roll back prices and regular low prices on every item!
On an average, I use about 2 cups of sugar every day for various recipes. With most sugars, that are not under popular brand labels, I tend to need a bit more sugar than the recipe suggests, this is not the case with this sugar, I would put Walmart sugar right up there with the best and it's a portion of the price.
Here in the South we love our sweet tea and coffee so it's the best bargain on sugar you'll find. Otherwise I waste so much getting tiny packages atleast $3 -$4 a bag for a tiny bag @ my local dollar store. It has great taste and depending on how much you use sugar it lasts a lot longer. Overall it may sound like a lot to begin with but believe me you're saving a lot more $ in the long run.
I'm not sure if it is a product or a walmart storage problem but sometimes you get sugar that can be hard like it's come into contact with moisture. However, we are from Oklahoma so it could also be the humidity. the taste is great and is a great product otherwise
For me, sugar is sugar, at long as it's actual sugar and not a sweetener/alternative. I am not picky about brands, it's ALL always tasted the same to me but I do prefer buying these size bags as it's a HUGE savings that way. Great deal. Unfortunately, I think the very thin paper packaging with this kind of weight doesn't work. Especially the way it's just "rolled" and LIGHTLY glued at the top. Its even much worse when you have a shopper that is getting it and then delivering it. They probably never bought it so don't realize that this bag of sugar is IMPOSSIBLE to not "leak" even though it's "sealed". Even when I go jn store and get it myself, and I'm very careful w the bag on my lap until I get home and not shaking the bag around, there's ALWAYS sugar that ends up all in the bottom of the plastic bag it's transported in. If you buy this sugar, you're gonna want to pick it up IN STORE yourself, DOUBLE up the bags around it, make sure it's in a bag BY ITSELF and that there's NO HOLES in the bottom and KEEP IT in the plastic bag when not in use or you're for sure gonna have bugs. There'll be little sugars everywhere. Just picture when someone else is "shopping" your items, just sticking it in a bag w EVERYTHING ELSE, tieing ALL THE BAGS together at the top in a bunch of knots, tosses it in their trunk... It's rolling around w everything else and then they hand this to you.... WITH holes in the bottom of multiple bags. I had sugar trailing from their car to my house and up my 3 flights of stairs while cans of pineapples kept falling out and I had to get all these connected bags off my finger and go chase the cans rolling away, finally get in the building and repeat this struggle up and down my 3 flights of stairs. I TRIED to separate the bags so the ones w holes id just crumble and move everything to the bags that didn't have holes but I couldn't get the knots out. So, I LOVE this deal but I can't buy it for delivery anymore
I ordered two ten pound bags of sugar as I was making a lot of jam. The items arrived in a bag along with canning jars that had very short edges. The bags of sugar were not in a separate container. They were not in an individual bag.And both bags ripped spilling almost half of each bag into the big shipping envelope , rendering the sugar useless. This is the third time I have commented on this and I have received no reply back from Walmart since I paid for 20 pounds of sugar and basically got 10 I'm curious. Will you replace at least one bag?Or refund me one bag.A response would be very nice
hard as a rock all stuck together in one brick. The bags had to have gotten wet. Wal mart would not exchange. This was grocery pick up order I would hope they would train employees on what a bag of sugar should feel like not a brick! Could not use.
As the name says, this bag of Great Value Pure Granulated Sugar weighs 10 pounds. That's a lot of sugar for all your baking needs!
Yes, Great Value Pure Granulated Sugar is perfectly suitable for canning. It's a standard granulated sugar and will work well in your canning recipes.
No, this 10 lb bag of sugar does not have a resealable closure. We recommend transferring it to an airtight container for storage after opening.
That depends on your usage! A 10 lb bag will last a long time for average household use. Store it properly in a cool, dry place to maintain its quality.
