Water worthy of drinking.

Cheryl February 14, 2026

The water is good. I use it in my C-pap and my cat drinks it also and she is very picky about what water she drinks. I started her with tap water then one day I was closer to this water so I gave her some. Now she will not drink anything else. This last delivery one of the jugs did not have the little plastic handle on it so it was a little tougher to deal with. That was the only problem that I have ever had with it

It's water.

james January 13, 2026

It's water and it doesn't offend me nor does the price. I always loved McDonald's coffee and one thing that makes the difference is the water that you youse. If you start with a water that tastes like algae or chlorine then it's not going to be very good coffee.

Great Value drinking water tastes great!

Ruby January 26, 2026

Great Value gallon of purified drinking water tastes great. It has added minerals to enhance the flavor. We have hard well water, so I use it as my drinking water and for making coffee. I don’t like the plastic handle, carrying the water from my car to my house, it kind of cuts into my hands. I wish they would go back to the old jugs that were like milk jugs.

It’s all about the container / 👍 or 👎

Rev January 9, 2026

The overall quality of this item has been from so so to bit of a let down ever since they changed from the standard 1 gallon milk jug container to thin clear plastic jug with a snap on when made super thin plastic handle that breaks very easily. Go back to the milk jug style containers and will get 5 star rating.

Two stars because the taste is fine. Loss of stars because the bottle is AWFUL. Twist cap DOES NOT open. I had to score the entire circumference with a sharp knife to get it open. The plastic handle is sharp and hurts when pouring the water. It is unimaginable as to WHY Walmart is using these gallon bottles instead of the more traditional w built in handles. I WILL NOT be purchasing again.

New Jug is Awful!

Michele January 8, 2026

I really like this Great Value Drinking Water. It's the only water I've found that does not make my sweet tea cloudy. However, I will be on the search for a new water ONLY because of this new gallon jug...it is AWFUL!! It is hard to handle %26 pour %26 the jugs do not fit well in my refrigerator at all! It's hard to pour if you're older or for kids to pour from...there basically is no handle. Also, I with the old jug, the one like a normal milk jug, I was able to use the empty jug to put my tea in. Now, with new/horrible new jug, I can no longer use it. I don't know whose decision it was to change the bottle but, it was a BAD one! PLEASE, PLEASE go back to the old style jug!

New water jugs suck!

Forrest October 1, 2025

I am very disappointed in your new water jugs. They are thin, awkward, and when I try to carry more than one jug at a time, they hurt my hand. You need to transition back to the previous jug design. I would pay extra for the old jugs. I may have to go to another grocery store to get decent water jugs. Please go back to the previous water jugs!

PLEASE, GO BACK TO BOTTLE WATER WITH HANDLES!!

Luisa December 8, 2025

The purified water from Walmart is of a very good quality and I've bought it many times! My problem has been in the bottle design change. When Walmart put this new bottle on the shelves with the hook on top, I stopped buying it. I'm an 87-year-old woman, this bottle weighs 8.4 lbs, and the plastic hook that replaced the integrated handle in the previous bottle makes it very difficult to handle... and, it's too sharp for my hand!! On Nov 30/25 I bought the 3-pack to try again ... but no way! It's terrible; you need both hands to manage carrying it. This will be the first and last time I buy this item, SADLY, because I need the product. I'll continue buying it from another store.

Horrible container

Gigi November 20, 2025

They changed the container the water comes in an it is more difficult to pour without spilling some. The handle also hurts your hand to carry it for any distance. Please bring back the old container that was like the gallon milk container. Otherwise the water is fine.

Very bad jug design. Impossible to pour w 1 hand

LaTrecca March 4, 2026

What happened to the old school jugs they used to come in??? You know, the ones with an actual handle, not this plastic ring that nearly slices through your hand when attempting to carry it. And how am I supposed to pour it? I have to use two hands because well, you try Walmart!! It’s so awkward. You’re pouring it and water hits the plastic circle of a thousand cuts then spills all over the place. I mean look at the bottle and tell me how it’s supposed to be done. Where are we supposed to hold it? It feels much heavier than a gallon in a jug but it’s just the rotten design. Please change back to normal jugs!!
