Good taste and cheaper than velveeta. I've always used this type of cheese for macaroni and broccoli and cheese.
WOW. Makes the best mac and cheese. Easy melt just like it says. A little on the salty side but you can actually use less and get the same good taste. Makes excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. Works great melted and poured over baked tortilla chips OR for dipping veggies or other favorites. Can't say enough good things about this Great Value easy melt cheese.
This is like miracle cheese! I tastes good, just like the competing national brand, but at a much nicer price and the reduced fat version is no exception. It melts nicely into a smooth and velvety cheese sauce. It was fantastic over broccoli, even scrambled eggs, and super good on nachos - I used the microwave for about 40 seconds on high and it was a tasty and creamy hit. Price is super good if you compare it to the national brand (you know, the one that starts with a "V") or even if you buy American processed cheese sliced. It's more economical to cook your own pasta and melt some of this in it than buying the prepackaged stuff. I love that inside the top cover are several recipes that are also very tasty and economical. These are really appreciated and I hope they rotate some different ones soon. Even though the cheese is semi-soft, it grates really well, allowing you to sprinkle it over everything that you like to have cheese: pasta, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, burritos, casseroles, veggies, eggs, and any type of potatoes (baked, mashed, boiled - however you make them, this will definitely make them better). Grating the cheese makes it melt quicker in the microwave, oven, boiler, air fryer, or even if you're stirring into something hot. I also like that it stays fresher than other types of cheese. Maybe we use it fast, but it's never gone wonky on us like sliced or block "regular" cheese (like cheddar). We definitely keep it in the 'fridge after opening it. And I think it there was one suggestion I could make on the cheese, I wish it was offered in a smaller version. This was actually a request from a friend who lives alone and doubts she could use all of a package before it dried out or something. Tasty, easily melts, smooth and velvety texture, economical, versatile, reduced fat version is similar to regular, and frequently in stock. What's not to love?
this is one of several cheeses that I use when I make homemade macaroni and cheese. it is just as good as the name brand plus we enjoy the lower calorie cheese without bad taste. this is truly delicious for grilled cheese or cheese and crackers,
I would not even have my order without the great Customer Support Agent. It seems the deliery went back to the store then he got on the phone and got me my order by evening time. How do I thank him, I do not know.
When craving a ham and cheese crunchy lunch this works with a thin slice, some spam, some onion and some spice. Satisfactory on all cheese levels then
Never had the brand name version of this, ever in life; decided to try this reduced fat version .. turned out better than expected (I am a big cheese head so this variation was a test); taste was great (although a bit salty for my liking) … worked well with macaroni — smooth texture (I can see individual's affinity to this as sauce) and paired well with crackers ! Taste wise, no signs of “reduced fat” Would buy again (wish they offered smaller quantity option, also) Do recommend!
I like cheddar cheese melted on many things. But cheddar does not easily melt on the foods I choose. This is very good cheese for cooking. Reasonably priced. Pleasant taste. Easy to store %26 handle.
I haven't bought this in a while, and last time I picked it up it was disgusting! It's separates when you cook it, it's clumpy, and does not melt well. I used to buy it quite frequently and it was always good, but they changed it and it is not good anymore. Spend the extra two dollars and get the Velveeta.
The cheese was expired by a month when Walmart sent it to me through my online order. I know it still will last a bit past the expiration date, but it tasted rotten. I had to throw the whole thing in the garbage, as I'm disabled and unable to drive. So, I could not take it to the store or have it mailed back. It is normally a nice tasting cheese. I use it on nachos. The stock should be checked more carefully.
