my husband takes lunches everyday he's a farmer and he's in the hot field and he don't have time to make his lunch so I make him a sandwich everyday and this is something he can eat well and it's healthy too he doesn't have teeth so it does tear right and it's got a good flavor and he loves it!

My husband had a stroke in 2022. Since then, it's been a struggle to get him to eat. He loves this chicken breast ! I use it to make him sandwiches, a small single serve snack plate, cutting it up into small cracker sized squares, served with cheeses, crackers, and grapes. I have also made him chicken wraps in a flour tortilla. This chicken breast and the Great Value sliced turkey breast make a great fast dinner. I mix up a box of Great Value stuffing mix, then I lay out a slice of the sandwich meat, add some prepared stuffing mix, to the meat, and roll it up. I then line the rolls up in a small baking dish, add some jarred turkey or chicken gravy, cover the pan with aluminum foil,, and put it into a 350°F oven for about 15 minutes. When it's heated through, I uncover the pan and let it bake five more minutes. Then I serve it with Great Value instant potatoes, and a vegetable on the side. this meal takes about 35 minutes, start to finish, and my family loves it ! This chicken breast is a good value. you get 32 one ounce slices per package. That make it easy in meal planning, and portion controlled meals. Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

Completely yummy!

TadN December 31, 2025

Really tasty lunchmeat for sandwitches or salads. I love this products. Wonderful taste. It's like it came from a rotisserie chicken right off the rotisserie! You won't be dissapointed, and the 32 oz bag is a great deal that lasts two or three weeks and the last slice tastes just a good as the first.

Passible Deli Chicken but be aware of high sodium

GRKAstronomer June 16, 2026

I switched to this when Walmart stopped stocking Land o'Lakes deli roast chicken. There is better value with more slices; however, I would caution that the sodium (salt) content is pretty high. Those on low sodium diets should only consume sparingly. Makes a good sandwich though.

5-star ham, 4-star shopping

anonymous July 12, 2025

prefer black forest ham (ordered item) over honey ham (my sub). Ham is still excellent, but... I really wanted the black forest ham. Its missing a star cause I didnt get the item I ordered which affects the overall shopping experience. Ham itself is 5-star, just no *my* favorite flavor.

It's as good as any other rotisserie flavored meat

stella November 24, 2025

It's a bit salty and the flavor profile is okay. Personally, I'm not a fan, but I do recognize that it's a matter of personal preference here. It wasn't so horrible that I threw it away. We ate it and if I ever accidentally picked it up instead of the plain chicken, we'd eat it again. I don't generally care for rotisserie flavored lunch meat from any brand, so I feel like if it's a flavor you enjoy, it's definitely worth taking the chance on this one. You can't beat the price.

"Value" Lunchmeat

Anonymous July 26, 2025

This stuff is okay, it's not great, and the texture is way too... compressed? Compressed meat. That's what it's giving. It's too thick to fold nicely in a sandwich, and it just feels like biting through a solid block of "meat" if you put more than 2 layers together. It sticks to the roof of your mouth behind your teeth when you eat it. And the taste is lacking, unfortunately. I don't get "Rotisserie" anywhere, just cold vaguely-chicken flavor. If you're in a pinch, you gotta do what you can, but if you can splurge just a little bit on anything other than this, buy something else.

Poor texture - all garlic.

Ed February 26, 2026

It's loaded with garlic. The texture is like cheap ham loaf. Blindfolded, I couldn't tell you if it was chicken, pastrami or catfish by the taste. I like garlic, love it actually, but when you open the passage, the garlic will slap you in the face,

MEH!

TinyPanda June 20, 2026

I wanted to try a different protein for my sandwiches and thought I'd give this a try with my favorite ham. It did not go well. Upon opening the package, I was greeted with a not so nice smell. It did not smell like chicken or any other pre-sliced packaged deli style meat. It gets worse, the two slices I took out felt like, as what I can only call "slimy". Good thing I also bought my ham along with this chicken. To me, this was a bust.

Nasty nasty lunch meat

Stephen October 3, 2025

It tasted so nasty. I tasted it and thought it was nasty but I figured it was just me. My husband (that eats everything) made him a sandwich with it and first bite he said that is horrible lunch meat and please don't buy it again. I haven't and I won't.
