since I've gotten diabetes... I've had to give up all bread and learn to use crackers instead....... and then I learned some crackers are very bad for you....... but these crackers are my go-to and I highly recommend them if you have diabetes as a replacement for bread and a good tummy filler with soup
I actually prefer the Great Value Saltines above any other saltine cracker. I like the taste, amount of salt and texture. They are always fresh and crispy. That along with the price is enough for me! They are great alone or as a sweet or savory accompaniment. And who doesn't love Christmas Crack any time of the year?
There's a few items I refuse to purchase that is not name brand, crackers being one of them. However due to the price of groceries skyrocketing I tried these crackers and I have to say they are really good. I won't go back to name brand regarding this item. The savings is tremendous and the taste is same as name brand. I recommend to try these and see for yourself. You won't he disappointed.
We really enjoy these crackers - perfect for soup, snacks, or just by themselves! They're just salty enough to have taste but not too salty for those of us trying to watch sodium intake. When I make chicken or tuna salad dip, these crackers hold up when you dig in. Add the economical price and these crackers check every box! :)
My grocery budget is low as are many others nowadays. I have been trying lower cost items to save as much as possible. The Great Value Saltine crackers were almost half the cost of some of the name brands and I was well pleased with the taste. Will continue to buy them when available.
Wal-Mart store brand saltines. The crackers have a texture as if they are on their way to being stale but not completely stale. These saltines lately have not been having enough salt on them. They taste like lightly salted saltines. I have a couple of recipes that use saltines and I have never had to add salt before because the salt on the crackers has always been the right amount. Lately I have been having to add salt in addition to the crackers. I also like to snack on saltines and these taste like they're starting to go stale and need more salt.
While the price is great compared to the competitor saltines, every box I have purchased for the past several months has been stale. Every single one. The packaging is completely closed, the stacks of crackers don't have small openings in the ends, yet every cracker is stale.
both boxes of these saltine crackers had insect damage on the internal wax paper covers and then I noticed the insects inside with the crackers. I know the they're not that expensive but it might be in your best interest to look at the whole lot of them if both boxes I purchased were in second-fested to good chance at all the rest of them Maybe
I do buy a lot of generic products and the Walmart brand Great Value. However, there are some things that I just do not go generic. And that's saltine crackers. However, when buying groceries this time I didn't pay attention to what I was doing and bought generic saltine crackers. Yuck! Flat tasting. Not salty enough. Heavy feeling. I don't know how to describe the taste. Put it into my soup thinking that it wouldn't matter, it did. Just not edible. I'll stick with Nabisco Premium saltine crackers.
When 4.5 stars led me astray and $1.84 bought me disappointment I was trying to be frugal—okay, cheap. Saltines are saltines, right? Wrong. I picked up Great Value Saltine Crackers, 16 oz, 4 Count brand box for $1.84, thinking I’d outsmart the system. The premium brand sat smugly at $3.68, but both had a 4.5-star rating, so I figured I’d cracked the code. Turns out, I just cracked open a box of cardboard masquerading as food. These crackers were so bland, even Polly would turn her beak up at them.
