The flavor and quality are very good for the price. I actually did a taste test with other people and Great Value sausage egg and cheese croissants were the overall preferred. I served these and the bacon version at a Saturday morning church event for over 100 women. We got good verbal reports.
Much better than the jimmy dean ones. The best way to cook them is to heat up the sausage, cheese, and egg for 45 seconds (1 min 15 for 2), then adding the croissant and microwaving another minute. They were off for a bit, but back to being great. My kids have them for breakfast at least 4 days a week.
A good breakfast sandwich ! But...........they are getting smaller and smaller and the price is getting larger and larger. It's too bad that greed is getting to all of us. I thought Walmart would try and help getting all of us back to normalcy. Thank you
Pork, it sure is. Bread, yup it's there too. All in a convenient sandwich with a hole in the middle perfect to use as a breakfast dipping cup. Can be easily microwaved as long as you remove them from the box first. This item is not gluten friendly or vegan, which is good if you're looking for a biscuit with meat in it. There are vegan gluten friendly alternatives, but this is not one. It is also gremlin free which I am particularly certain as I have purchased dozens of boxes and not yet had one gremlin make its way into my home by stowing away inside of the box just beneath the top of one of the biscuits. I highly recommend.
I get these croissants monthly for me to eat throughout the work week. The price is great for 8 of them. Sometimes I wish that it would be at least 10 croissants in the box. I think that the portion size is just right for a quick breakfast. The way that I make them is usually in the microwave for 2:30. If I have left them in my lunch box to thaw for a little, then I only set the time for 1:30. The taste is just right; I eat this with a Great Value yogurt cup or oatmeal. I have put it in the air fryer when I have more patience, and I want that crunch. I always eat with ranch!!
I actually like these better than the Jimmy Deans, lower cost with better taste. Can't tell if they are smaller than the Jimmy Deans, haven't bothered to look. Remember always thaw in the refrigerator the night before as with the Jimmy Deans as well, so as to get a soft overall product. Thawing them in the microwave on the day of consumption causes hardness in spots
They're pretty darn close to the higher dollar brands. If every single penny didn't count for my tiny family tho, I'd go ahead and pay the little bit extra for the name brand. Since every single penny DOES count, these are pretty great for getting to have the things we like still.
Was not a fan of the taste of these at all. Ate about half of one and that's all I could take. Normally don't have any issues with Great Value items but these just didn't cut it for me. Dropped them off to my mom and told her to try them and trash if she didn't like. She said she ate them but had to microwave some parts longer than others
These used to be great breakfast sandwiches - far better than the Jimmy Dean's. However, Walmart recently decided to change suppliers, or the recipe, and as of February or March 2026, these have become smaller and about as tasty as eating cardboard. In fact the "only" taste I can detect is very suspicious and I wonder if it's the preservatives. I will not be buying these in the future and will be searching for a new alternative. Thanks Walmart for ruining a really good product
not real cheese, sausage made from pork trash, after they remove the good cuts , that are laden with growth hormones %26 pesticides , then pressure blasting what's left of the carcass, stripping the meat %26 grissel to be ground up and made into pork slime. to feed hogs %26 make sausage patties. not counting all the added chemicals
