Perfect complement to hummus or on their own. This bag had a lot more chips than I expected. I did not experience significant breakage when buying for delivery from store, but if it had I felt I more than got my money's worth with how much is in the bag.
These are really good! I was a bit cautious when I bought the 1st bag, but now they are in the pantry snack supply for good! They are thick and crunchy but with pockets just like it would be if you cut up pita bread and toasted it to perfection. I will be using them broken in smaller pieces in my Holiday snack mix along with the rye slices , goldfish crackers, nuts and the Chex cereals. These are also not too salty but have a wonderful flavor with dips and hummus. I'm finding ways to use them to create a wonderful twist on many old favorites. This is a BIG, 18 ounce bag so that is why the price is more than the other smaller bags and brands
You get a large bag for your money. So great price. My picky son actually really likes it. I'm not a fan of the chip when dipping it. And any salsa. But plain it's delicious. If you dip it into salsa or anything it gets soggy pretty quickly. But eating them just like chips. They are delicious and great for trail mixes, and things like that.
The local stores were out so I ordered five bags online… Unfortunately, as I expected, they were all crushed and broken. They put five bags in a box and leave space for the bags to toss around during shipment. No packing materials in box to cushion…Nothing but pieces! The taste is OK and they are not too salty but small broken pieces are unacceptable. May take them back %26 return
Every time I buy these, half the bag is broken into tiny, not hummus dip-worthy pieces. The overall taste is like when you go to eat a saltine cracker, but forgot that you have cotton mouth, so you end up having this not-wet, not dry paste in your mouth. It tastes like that. But, in a pinch, they'll do.
MINUS TEN! disgusting and im not really picky. opened the bag and 90% of the chips were broken into little pieces. so...i fished out the larger chips to try, so not even worth the couple dollars i paid for them, prob not even worth the review. typically, i dont have issues with walmart brands, with the exception of their cream cheese. threw the entire bag away after the first handful. bummer how can you screw up a pita chip?
Almost every chip was smashed, and despite their hardness, they had to be crushed during packaging or in the store. I read reviews and should have listened to all the 1-star reviews. These Pita Chips are the worst. Maybe a small handful could be used to dip my Hummus. I did have a package of Pita Bread I had to toast and cut into triangles so my guests could eat my homemade Hummus.
These were very hard to eat.. Literally... They were in such large chunks stuck together and so hard that I was afraid they were going to break my teeth. In all honesty - last time I got Great Value chips I got then in a small box and there were a few hard clumps but most could be used... This bag was the opposite there were a few usable.
These things are terrible. I purchased one bag and when I ordered my groceries, two other bags were substituted for my normal pita chips. I was hoping they would be comparable to the name brand pita chips but they are not. These things are HARD. If you are not careful you will brake a tooth. They remind me of hardtack…they are that tough and bland. They do not have that pita flavor that most pita chips have. So, now I'm stuck with three bags of these things. Thankfully my husband doesn't mind them but for me, they are a no go. Stick with the round Great Value Pita chips that are in the little box…they are 100 times better than the ones in the bag.
The package was filled with pita chip crumbs. We had bought these for guests to be served with humus. We did have some Frito Scoops available and substituted but that killed the vibe of humus and pita (chips). This is the second time we have been disappointed in Walmart brand pita chips. The first bag had many crumbs but not as many as the latest bag.
