Great Value Sharp Cheddar Block Cheese, 8 oz Chunk

Taste was good but there has been a slip in quality lately. Purchased this cheese a few times and was dry and crumbling. Hopefully quality issues are being fixed, the last block I bought was a lot better.

This is a good cheese at a great price. I eat it on Ritz crackers and it makes a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich. It reminds me of the hoop cheese we used to have when I was a child.

This is my go to for snacks and all other dishes with cheese. Great value and delicious Always keep it on hand better than name brands Walmart brands seem to be better than the more expensive brands. Love Walmart especially in these difficult time. You can count on Walmart for the lowest prices and the best quality always Thank You Walmart!

I enjoy a block cheese. this cheese is sealed until used in this wrapper and then sliced or shredded you can smell the sharp flavor with every slice. I shred it in omelets or on salads. its really great shredded onto burritos or tacos it brings extra goodness with every bite .

My favorites are on top of a salad or putting extra cheese on my pizza before I cook it and of course, just snacking with crackers.

I like to buy blocks of cheese because they are more versatile. The block can be shredded, sliced or cubes depending on what you are making. The cheese melts nicely for grilled cheese, tastes good shredded and melted on Mexican dishes and the cubes are a lovely addition to a salad. A very good tasting cheese for a good price

I like to shred my own cheese rather than buy the pre-shredded in the bags - read that they contain sawdust and I know they don't melt. I always have these cheese blocks on hand to shred myself. Good flavor (I usually get sharp rather than mild) Melts nicely. Can slice it up too for platters or snacks.

Don't have anything negative to say about Great Value sharp cheddar cheese, or any of their other cheeses for that matter. It tastes great, has good texture, works well in different dishes cooked or uncooked or just for snacks or sandwiches. Have been buying this brand for years and won't stop now. Refuse to pay a bunch more money for a different brand when totally satisfied with this one.

Sharp, flavorful, and dangerously easy to “just shave a little off” until suddenly it’s gone. Great for cooking, even better for standing in the kitchen eating like a mouse at midnight. Lost one star because portion control is clearly not part of the packaging.

The date on it was September 26, no problem there. When I took the product out of the rapper a chick fell off. when I was grating the cheese it started falling apart. I had a pile of chunks and when I tried to grate the chunks they fell apart. Quality was terrible, taste was as good despite not being able to grate it.
