When I retired, I had to change my shopping habits. I've started carefully watching my dollars. I made myself try "store" brands, and I must say Walmart is on top of their game. My attitude is to try the product first, before prejudging it. I must admit I've not found any losers. It's great to be pleasantly suprised. This cheese is an example. It's good and its worth the price. Ive put it on my homemade soups, chili, baked potatoes, salads, everything I used the name brand for. And, I saved a chunk of change. Try them, you will too.

I find that often there is too much cellulose for my liking (like a powder coating to keep it from all sticking together). When I have some of this finely shredded next to the same brand but regular shredded, the finely looks like it was tossed in powdered sugar compared to the orange of the regular shredded.

Pound for pound / ounce for ounce, this great value shredded cheese works as good as name brand products. We add this shredder cheese to many different dip recipes. It's delicious. Adds good flavor to many dishes. It melts well. Great for tacos and burritos and salads.

This cheese was a perfect topping for my chili because of its sharp and rich cheddar flavor. I usually use a Mexican blend for cheese but wanted something a little less mild this time. The fine shreds melted perfectly and the smoky sharp flavor elevated my dish perfectly. I've purchased many name brand sharp cheddars and can honestly say that this cheese is comparable in quality. Very impressed and will certainly be repurchasing this cheese in the near future!

I have no clue why anyone would pay more for cheese. I use a lot of cheese in my household and this saves me a lot of money. Sharp cheddar is great to use when making mac and cheese or when you want a stronger cheedar flavor. I use it in a lot of recipes and in salads.

I buy this 16 oz bag almost every week. The fine shred is perfect because it melts way faster than the thick-cut shreds, making it ideal for tacos, omelets, and finishing off casseroles. It has a decent, tangy sharp cheddar flavor—not quite as punchy as premium brands, but for the price, it's absolutely worth it. The resealable bag holds up well in the fridge, and it doesn't get too clumpy. Highly recommend if you use a lot of cheese and are on a budget.

This cheese has a really good sharp flavor and melts evenly without getting greasy. Works great for tacos burgers and anything baked. Texture is nice and not clumpy and the price makes it an easy go to. Definitely one of the better store brand shredded cheeses.

This cheese surprised me with great flavor, melts easily and evenly. It great with tacos to just about any use you have for it. Well worth the money; however, I do recommend the bigger bags for a greater value if you use cheese alot during your cooking receipts . I give it a 10 in rating.

I did not receive the shredded cheese. This is the second week that I have ordered it and not received it. I also ordered two 3.5 oz of Great Value dark chocolate, I received four blocks 4.75 oz of Hershey's dark. Your on-line order website is not working correctly.
