Great Value Sharp Cheddar Snack Cheese, 9 oz, 12 Count

Perfect for snacks, lunch on the go, appealing to kids %26 adults alike, beautiful taste %26 texture! I wouldn't know this apart from a high cost brand of cheddar! Great for using in small-batch/serving recipes, too (like a bowl of soup or mac 'n' cheese to add extra yum)! Very good cost for cheddar, which tends to run quite high!

I always purchased a " name brand" cheese...Im a cheese lover!...but with grocery prices, I decided to give this cheese a try! Im so thankful I did! Dee- licious as the most expensive brands! Sharp cheddar flavor/ taste! Perfect consistency- not too dry or mushy. Love the individually wrapped cheese as they are great for a take along snack...BUT the tear strip hardly ever works for me- This could use revision! Price is several dollars cheaper than the " name brand" cheeses...without giving up on the cheesy flavor. Great for cooking as they are individually wrapped and if in a big block of cheese, the cheese would get hard and dry out...by being individually wrapped, I save money and save my cheese! This cheese is a win-win!

Good flavor and not too salty. The individual cheese packages inside the main plastic pouch is hard to open, even if labeled "OPEN HERE", had to use a sharp knife. Overall, good price, good flavor and excellent value.

Some of the snack packs are poorly packaged resulting in molding cheese. I love this snack cheese but usually 3 of the 12 bars is packaged incorrectly so I toss them.

I miss being able to buy these. But, as others have stated, there is something very wrong with the sealing process now, so most of the squares have mold. Yuck! I stopped buying them after several purchases proved it's not at all an isolated issue. My son lives several miles away, and said he has experienced the same thing at hos local store, too. Unacceptable! What a shame, and such a waste. I imagine there is an easy enough fix, if Walmart only cared to investigate, and remedy the problem. I still buy the sticks sometimes (maybe they're sealed on different machines, or by other staff) but I can only get those in mild cheddar, when I prefer sharp.

I have purchased these cheese snack squares many times before, they are such a convenient and easy way to get food in but NEVER AGAIN. I purchased these on December 22, 2022 so it hasn't been that long since I have had them (and the sale by date isn't until March) but I took one out today and there was mold all over the cheese. I decided to look in the bag to see whether or not it was an isolated incident but 5 out of the 10 pieces left in the bag had mold on them. After some investigation I realized it was because some of them aren't sealed properly so bacteria can easily get in and grow. I'm extra disgusted because I have already eaten a few!

The cheese that was properly sealed was delicious, but at least 4 of the 12 individually-wrapped slices were covered in mold when I opened the bag! And the expiration date isn't until August 11, 2023, which is over 3 months from now. The same thing happened with the GV Colby and Mild Cheddar Snack Cheese I got in the same order.

Here's a photo of last weeks cheese. Compared to this week's. C'mon great Value. Don't give us obviously less. It was small enough! But of course the price is the same.

The cheese tastes more like rubber than cheese. It's like fake cheese. I like the shredded Great Value cheese had high hopes for this. I was so disappointed I didn't even finish the bag.
