Great product, misleading serving size though.
I think it's awesome to have nice sized filets individually wrapped and the quality isn't bad either, the only thing I dislike is that for serving size the package states it has 8 filets in total one each serving, when in fact it only has 6 filets meaning 6 servings per package, they need to fix that.

laughing at the folks peeling scales off for hrs
okay so any of the reviews of people peeling off scales.. obviously don't know much about salmon. Skin on, skin side down cooked and seasoned properly is the best. no need to worry about peeling any scales (LOL) because if cooked proplerly, salmon flakes away from the skin with a fork. xoxo

Surprisingly decent
Based on reviews as 3/7/24, the first piece from my bag was surprisingly good. I thawed the pouch in room temperature water, opened the pouch and wrapped the fish in a paper towel to remove all surface moisture. I seasoned the fish with salt and pepper on both side, got a 8" cast iron pan blistering hot, poured in 2 tablespoons of EVO, then placed the fish skin side down. I turned the down to medium-high and continued cooking for 2 minutes. I flipped the fish, lidded the pan and continued cooking for 2 more minutes. I plated the fish with Basmati rice. The fish was tender and flaky. When I took the fish out the pouch it did have a slight fishy smell, but the end product was surprisingly good. My bag of salmon had 6 pieces and weighted a total of 2.2 pounds. I hope the other 5 pieces are just as good.

The bag claims to have 4 servings. A serving is one fillet. There are three fillets in the bag you do the math.

Foreign object in Walmart Great Value Atlantic Sal
I normally like the Great Value Atlantic Salmon. However, I made 2 pieces in the air fryer on a regular aluminum pan and as I was eating one piece had a object in it. The object is hard and has jagged edges. Just imagine how that would've turned out if ingested
