These sliced hard salami pieces are super convenient and make putting together a grinder so easy. They're ready to eat, so I can just grab what I need and layer them onto bread without any prep. The flavor is nice and savory with a good amount of seasoning, and the slices work well in sandwiches without falling apart. It's a simple staple I like keeping on hand for quick lunches or snacks.
It's hard salami, tastes pretty much like all the other hard salami I've had, texture, color and flavor are all fine, and of course the price is rock-bottom. Not that some pre-sliced lunchmeats are a meat that seem to be a kind of sliced meatloaf only slightly tastes like what it's supposed to be--this is not that, this is real, sliced hard salami.
I love snacking on these but my kids love them even more! They put them on crackers and Ive even sent them in their lunchbox with round crackers and square cut cheese as a make it yourself lunchable. They are easy to pack and bring anywhere and just as easy to open and close on the close. Theyre not too thin either, which I appreciate.
salami is salty but not spicy like pepperoni, which is too spicy for me now, my tummy gets mad at me. Even my picky grands like it. 👍 👌 (so do my cats %26 dog) I like to put whipped cream cheese on a ritz and a piece of salami and a square of colby. 😋. Plus, I don't hafta hire a locksmith 🔨🔒⚒️🪓✂️ to get into the pkg 🙄👍😏. Love the perforated top, just pull it and you're open.
I prefer the Walmart brand of salami to many of the other brands I've tried, because it has been, consistently over the last few years, the least likely to give my "hot dog headache". Otherwise it tastes basically indistinguishable from most other brands while often being less bitter.
So convenient! We try to stick to a higher protein, lower carb diet. These are perfectly convenient for lunches, or late night snacking! I just grab a little stack, and don't have to feel guilty. That lil stack used to be cookies, haha! I love to pair them with dill pickle slices, and cheese cubes! Also, would be good for long car trips or vacations, paired with pork rinds. No carbs at all, just fuel!
A friend suggested this as a more economic solution for sandwiches (my kids FLY through salami) and pizzas or pasta bakes...she was right! Kids didn't notice the difference and to save a FEW BUCKS per POUND? I can deal with not having wi e cured all of the time. Definitely buying in the future.
This is a solid product. It's what I expect hard salami to taste like, coming from the North Jersey area. The only downside is it's shaped like pepperoni, but double the thickness. While not perfect for sandwiches, it's actuality pretty good for cheese and crackers. Overall, a good value for a good product.
I feel like these are kind of greasy and too small. I guess if you just like to eat them plain, you would probably like them, but I usually buy them. I like to do cream cheese and pepperoncini and roll them so I prefer the larger ones. . But that's why I gave them only a three.
While not a meat-eater, this sliced salami was purchased to add to a cheese board with friends who are. It was almost universally disliked for being "gross discs of tasteless fat" (the one guest who liked it got to take it all home). Apologies to everyone involved.
