Butter is so much easier when it's already spreadable. Got tired of having to microwave a whole stick just to butter some toast or cutting off sections at a time to cook with. Tastes just as good as regular butter and is so much more convenient for cooking and storing. Never going back to sticks.
I really dislike it when I leave the butter out all night, but I do like it when I leave two different brands out all night. And why you ask? Awesome, because now I know who's parkay, who's butter. The brand on the left, from the land of......the best fishing hole this side of the Mississippi, turns out, it must really be from the lake. Now the butter on the right, "Great Value" kept its color and texture, keeping it real.
Our family uses about 2 of these a month. After years of believing margarine was the healthy option, I figured it was NOT. So about 3 years ago we went back to butter. It is more costly but we can really tell the taste difference. This Great Value brand is as good as the national brand to me. Works great in cooking. Container has easy opening lid.
I love this butter and purchase it regularly. It has a smooth and creamy flavor, but purchasing it doesn't break the bank. I use this for grilled cheese because it's easy to spread on the bread. I use it for cooking pancakes because it gives them a good buttery flavor. I also use it for cooking many different things. It is the only butter that I love and will continue to keep purchasing it. I do recommend it.
It tastes pretty much like what you would expect. Butter that is softer and not quite as buttery as the canola oil is a percentage and does not taste like the oil present in butter. That said it holds up a lot longer after opening. This brand is the creamiest or richest I've tried. Some of the more bargain brands actually or at least as tasty. But it's good And I would buy it and do buy it again
Been using this for years and love the taste. Tried Kroger/Smith's store brand and was spreadable but tasted terrible . Don't remember it being this problematic before and seems to be worsening. Walmart's the best but your spreadable butter just isn't. Taste's great but may as well go back to stick butter.
Basics on the positive side here include flavor, texture, usability, %26 price. Flavor is good, scoring very high because it is real butter with a few drops of olive oil. Texture is also good, but lower score. Using it is mostly good, though score is less because it can't match slicing at tablespoon graduating marks on butter wrappers. That wee bit of oil can interfere with some dishes, requiring both forms be stocked in the freezer. Price is a complete strikeout at $4 for a pound of butter. Aside from these factors, we can enjoy this almost like butter.
It's good for basic stuff, but be sure you watch it, cause it can start molding from the slightest crumb on a knife getting in the butter and rotting in the case. Fridge life isn't what it used to be sadly, watch for any sort of bread residue or residuals from knives as it will turn into a petree dish quick.
I prefer another brand, but since Walmart has chosen to not carry my preferred butter, this is something I tried. It doesn't melt on my bagel as quickly as my preferred brand, but it will do. I have not tried it on plain bread, as in a sandwich, but it spreads easily. It tastes like an average butter, so if I cannot have my preferred choice, I will buy this again.
As if it's not hard enough to make ends meet, Great Value is now cheating us out of the product we have paid for. This is the second time that I have purchased this butter - which is supposed to be a 15oz product - and when I open it up, it is not filled completely and only weighs 11oz. It is a ripoff.
