This is one of my guilty pleasures. I love the taste. My wife calls it, "Caramel colored sugar water" but she drinks coffee so what does she know? (I guess she's kinda right, but don't tell her). The tea taste is strong, which I love, but it could go a bit lighter on the sugar. But it is better than most premade tea.
I used to be a Kroger Sweet Tea kinda girl, NEVER buying anything else. For about 3 months, I noticed a cloudy almost sour taste and was SO disappointed. Between working full time and raising grandchildren, I was just too lazy and tired to make my own. Out of desperation I started tasting other bottled tea, including Milo’s, Gold Peak, Pure Leaf and Arizona. THEN, I bought a 1/2 gallon of Great Value from Walmart and haven’t looked back!
I used to love Red Diamond Sweet Tea, but it has changed over the years. I thought I'd try this GV brand, so I picked up a gallon. IT IS SO GOOD! I now keep this in my fridge at all times. It's perfectly sweetened and is DELICIOUS with some crushed ice. It's also delicious without ice though, too. Great job, GV. You've made an awesome quality sweet tea (while keeping it reasonably priced!) THANK YOU!
If you have great memories of your mom's or grandmother's sweet tea, this tea is for you. A thirst quencher with a sweet crisp flavor, this tea hits the spot. A great price compared to the competition, makes it a regular in my cart. Not overly sweet which other brands tend to be. Its taste and value make it a must buy!
Great Value Sweet Brewed Iced Tea (1 gallon) truly holds its own against any name brand out there. It’s incredibly refreshing—just the right balance of sweetness without being overpowering, and not too strong either. It hits that “just right” mark that makes it the perfect drink for a hot Texas day. Super convenient, easy to grab and go, and the price is more than fair for the quality you get. This is a staple in my fridge now!
As a Southern boy raised on sweet tea, there is no greater pleasure one can have on a hot summer day than guzzling down some iced cold sweet tea, and while nothing is as good as what momma always had available, this isn't half bad. The price is a little high considering its almost all water, but with momma no longer with us you gotta do what you gotta do...
Better than Borden, Pure Leaf, Arizona, Lipton, Milos, %26 other top name brand teas I've ever tried!! Not only that but alongside the flavor the sweetness is perfect, doesn't leave a strange aftertaste, %26 is very inexpensive compared to most all other brands, since trying it, I'll never go back to any of those old brands, I'm hooked!!
I love sweet tea, especially homemade. This brand is good because it's not loaded with sugar. It's not " Do you want some tea with that sugar". It tastes homemade, it doesn't taste like some tea does with a metallic like, machine made. It's hard to explain. Just buy it, it's great!!!
I've lived all over the place, but finding a good sweet is always a challenge that I'm willing to try! There are other "better tasting" brands, per se, but I'm talking about consistency. Those other brands can be great one time, and the next purchase is different. Great Value brand brew is always consistent and definitely my go-to!
I'm a northerner that recently relocated to the south, never tried sweet tea until a few months ago and have become addicted to McDonald's sweet tea. I've tried Milo's for at home and that is a close second to Mickey's being %231. I figured I'd try this Great Value tea and I am sad to say it is nasty! The flavor does not taste fresh brewed and instead tastes like old, dirty laundry water. I had 2 glasses and dumped the rest of the gallon out. Will be sticking with Milo's in the future.
